We were shopping at the very top tier recently now it seems we can only afford the second tier and below.

I'm not going to mount any footballers thank you very much. I'm certainly not going to mount two at once.
And look at how that turned out. Price is irrelevant, as long as the player fits (and is fit, no more Keita)
Macallister transfer sounds like it might happen. Don't think it will be £70m though. Sounds like he's a good, humble character as well, something Klopp likes. Wasn't it Caicedo who was on the verge of a move to Arsenal and it looked like it was falling through and he wasn't turning up for training?
it could be anything. I couldn't predict what will happen with Brighton. they are already moving to spend so I'm sure they will want a big cheque off one of those cms.
they put caicedo in his place and put a new contract under his nose to shut him up. he signed it so i hear there's not even a release so that'll tell you how they are getting their way. not sure what he was thinking tbh but there you go
Yeah I remember. It was more about I couldn't remember if it was Caicedo who nearly went to Arsenal. Looks like mito has confirmed it.
I think both him and Mac did the same. Really odd move by them putting all the cards in the club's hands. Leave on a free this summer or sign a no release clause contract and risk being priced out of a move which they both obviously want.
They win either way in that they have a nice long lucrative contract but still with the realistic prospect of a big move . win-win
alexis macallister contract is up to 2025 with option for year. he signed it preworld cup and having lots of demand. Brighton are running a tight ship there. i mean they only gave him the average premier wage. 63k a week. the swiped it up cos he was on much less. they know they can sell when it suits and the player will always get a deal elsewhere at that wage. he is certainly going to cost 70mil imo. these Brighton lads know what they are about.
it is a winner but barely. the players (like all thr lads signing 8 year deals at chelsea) are nowhere near this average wage of 63k (which just shows how mad the prem is). they will always sign for more money as they know only performances gets moves so they have to take what's there when it is there and hope they continue to deliver. the fact is a player like diaz gets 90k at lfc. it's not actually that much more. macallister could demand maybe double his wages not if someone outs up 70mil. I'm sure he would love to bit someone now must do it. his choice was to run down his current deal and move as many players do but it comes with risk so some players will take what's on offer now and worry later.
