We're interested in him? Although Trippier was an older player when we signed him, I don't see us getting the same benefit from Firminho, awesome as he has been. Mane a year ago would have been quite a signing though.
Firminho is off to Barca.

For the ****ing love of god NO!!!

Newcastle United's owners are interested in Paris St-Germain's Brazil forward Neymar, 31, as they look to make a 'marquee' signing this summer.

Whether you'd take him wouldn't change the fact he's a better player and would therfore improve the squad and increase money off the pitch.

I would avoid him too though.

Yes and no.

Undoubtedly a better player, but he'd destroy the squad not improve it, look what he did at Man U, and look what they've been like ever since he left.

The squad and squad morale are two different things ..

If Newcastle signed Neymar which they won't I'd just be happy rather than be negative about it though.

They're intrinsically linked though - ie Ronaldo affected Man U's squad morale to such an extent they were appalling under Solsjkaar and Ragnarik, and started terribly under Tem Hag under he finally booted Ronaldo out the squad. And that was (on paper at least) a few better squad than ours, with far more characters you'd expect to be able stand up, but he still poisoned the club.

Neymar is just as bad in terms of attitude as Ronaldo, if not worse - he's a lazy waster that plays in a piss easy league, playing half the games a season at best. He just collects his €1m Euros a week and doesn't give a **** about the team, the fans or anyone but himself. He'd be toxic.

I said he's a better player and you've agreed and I've then you now want to go down an alley regarding his personality which I already agreed with.

I'm just saying if we did sign him great OK I can live with it.. I don't want to start complaining about everything.

Are we even talking about Ronaldo or Neymar here? In terms of Ronaldo, it was a massive coup by Man U resigning him, and at that point he had significantly improved the squad. Fast forward a year later, he's got 2 manager sacked, their reaults record is terrible and the dressing room is toxic....so reality is he didn't improve the squad, he made it massively worse. A squad is only as good as how it's performing, look at Chelsea.

Neymar is just as toxic, if not more so, that Ronaldo. I don't think it would be "great" if we signed him, as well as him being a lazy arrogant waster, it would also give a sign that the owners are going for big marquee signings and flash names....something they've avoided so far, which has been the reason for our success.

I wouldn’t touch Neymar with a dirty pink dildo
However, in that gossip page on bbc there are a few interesting players mentioned
All of which again, take with a pinch of salt

All I'm saying is whoever the club signs great even if it's Mctomminay. We've spent 15 years googling players, so I really could handle a Neymar or Ronaldo without moaning.

The story itself is nonsense anyway of course.

The owners know what they're doing, we saw that immediately in January last year, where they made excellent signings to easily keep us up. Meanwhile Everton hoovered up the "marquee" signings in Dele Alli and Donnie Van Der Beake, who predictable turned out to be dogshit.

The flash marquee signing is something I'd associate with Chelsea under Abramovich and Man U with Ronaldo, Falcao, Di Maria, Ibrahimovich etc. They've totally avoided that and taken us forward the right way.

Fernandez at Chelsea must be one of the biggest failure’s so far
Always wary of national team performances against a rainy night in Stoke

He's probably a good player but the clubs a mess and the team built by a lazy chef... The ingredients slapped together.

I actually think he's been one of their better ones, but the bar isn't high.

When you compare him to the impact our signings have had, for less brass, you could certainly think he's a flop, buthe's showed some good moments, and he's not a goalscorer. Put it this way - I'd snap their hands off for him in the middle of our midfield with Bruno and Big Joe.

Newcastle fans said Joelinton couldn't control a ball but he was always a good player.

Chelsea threw all the ingredients in and made a similar mess to what newcastle had, but they've got good players
