We are allowed to not want players.
Personally I think there must be question marks about him considering he’s only been at his last 3 clubs all for a season only.
He’s issued ultimatums to found in the past. He’s acted petulant. It’sa no from me.
Will I support him if he signs? Yes

Probably got something to do with the fact they've lined up Bobby Firminho.

Soo they would rather an ageing player who’s well past his best?

We would definitely "do a Man U" if Ronaldo were to come here, or worse still "do a Chelsea".

We're interested in him? Although Trippier was an older player when we signed him, I don't see us getting the same benefit from Firminho, awesome as he has been. Mane a year ago would have been quite a signing though.

Sometimes this can work though, Beardsley, Trippier, Kevin Gallacher, etc, even Sibierski springs to mind.

Not for 80M though surely. Given our financial constraints

And we only signed Gordon in January. 80M would be better spent elsewhere. If we only sign Raphina, we won't have much of a season next season

Why would they only sign Raphinha? The story is likely complete bullshit although nufc were reported to be interested in the summer by that Romero guy. The price is required to be 70 million pounds which is a reasonable price in Today's market tbh... if anything Gordon was 55million ... we're talking a full brasil international which gets goals and assists every other game.

It's no doubt a load of nonsense. I'm not against the signing, just not for that much.

    Fair enough mate

I actually like the idea of newcastle spending disgusting amounts so we can drink people's tears.

For sure. I can't wait for that either. I'd rather it was on players I thought were worth it.

That being said, I'm not the expert. If Howe and Ashworth think he fits and is worth it, I'll back the lad wholeheartedly
