No I'm not assuming at all .. if howe had a months worth of information on the oppositions selections etc that's better than having 1 weeks worth.. The more information you have the easier it is to prepare.. this isn't an opinion. What you think should be done to prepare is irrelevant... that's the preparation itself.
Yes, it is an opinion. Example. Here is a tin of peas. Here is a tin opener. Here is a video as to how the tin opener works. Your task is to open the tin of peas. What more information do you need? The tin opener has a red handle. Irrelevant. The peas are garden peas. Irrelevant. The best before date is 22/08/2024. Irrelevant. The last three points give you more information but they don’t make opening the tin of peas any easier and not having those points doesn’t make opening the tin more difficult.
It is not an opinion and it's why information is required to open the tin in the 1st place. You're shown or instructed at some point in your life and your brain is using information. Ever tried handing a tetra pack to Steve Bruce ?
That feels huge tonight, gives us insurance about what Liverpool are doing, far more likely to catch Man Utd than us.
I agree with Munson here actually. It’s the unknown. We would expect Sam to deploy an aggressively defensive unit and play long balls. But Leeds don’t have the players to do that. So it is the unknown here. I expect Howe will say that we prepare like normal and play our usual game. But it will be a different task now.
Munson comes out with any argument , no matter how bizarre and illogical, that we've got no chance of winning and we'll be beaten, then proceeds to argue this into oblivion on here, and eventually when people present him with facts and figures that disprove his point, he'll then respond with "so you agree with me then?". You're argument is equally bizarre - ie Leeds play ok football, but they're bringing in the hoof ball oaf, yeah it's not just a case of tactless dinosaur going to a crap team - it's into the unknown!! We need Captain Picard and his crew for this one...
This post is utter nonsense and demonstrates a complete lack of understanding to a very simple point. There's been nothing discussed about winning losing or having no chance of winning so where is your mind here? There's no facts or figures you can provide to disprove anything and haven't. He's agreed with me and should be allowed to.
It is completely relevant in terms of your internet troll persona endlessly forecasting doom and gloom, and adapting that for this occasion - your go to argument is that Leeds have a new manager, preparation will will be very difficult, we don't know what to expect, we're going in blind, blah blah. The facts or figures will only be necessary later, when the discussion goes right down the rabbit hole.
So argue the point rather than have a little personal dig because you don't agree . It's fine like I've did in the discussion for you to disagree I don't care so try not to dismiss other peoples views mate Wheres the doom and gloom ? The bit about having no chance of winning would be ideal .. you can't show me because it doesn't exist . Let's get back to the point shall we? How can you demonstrate with facts or figures that a manager change doesn't make preparations more challenging for the opposition manager? How do you know what 11 is likely to play , what are the likely tactics and why is 1 weeks information not less beneficial than say 3 months ?
The facts and figures come later, when the convo has got batshit, which on a Friday, is generally around 2pm. But one by one: How can you demonstrate with facts or figures that a manager change doesn't make preparations more challenging for the opposition manager? Cos it's a manager the Prem knows inside out, it's not in Fat Sam's DNA to play any other than hoof ball. How do you know what 11 is likely to play? , based on analysis of their squad, the regular player, players in form, and injury record. For most teams you could comfortably predict at least 9 of the starters. what are the likely tactics? a very likely awkward marriage of Leeds's nice football, combined with Big Sam's humping and "get the big men up" crap. why is 1 weeks information not less beneficial than say 3 months ? In football preparation is only ever really a week anyway, so much can happen in 3 weeks, injuries, teams finding form etc, that a 3 week preparation for one game is redundant. This is more of a problem to Leeds than us, as Fat Sam has a week to try to fashion a team together that not only fits his style, but plays to their strengths...and with Leeds playing so different from the Allardyce standard, this is a big ask. Preparation advantage is with us.
If the facts come after then how can you be claiming you've disproved my point in your previous post? Your answers are just your views and opinions and just dont give me the facts and figures required for me to change my view .. that is OK isn't it ?
