for me yes, and preferably a hall on entering I have kids and so the living room is always messy, if someone pops around then its good to let the kids get on with tv etc also 2 bathrooms if possible
Thats the wrong answer... If you're muslim, then you do not allow the women in the mans sitting room and the women have the other reception room. usually in my experience with really **** sofa's.

I could be wrong as i dont know the people you speak of, however I would be suprised if it wasnt culture that played a part in that rather than religion as I said though 2 rooms is best, and a certain amount of seperation is surely a requirement in ALL households depending on who the visitor is/are
