Yes and if you're suggesting bad weather doesn't make outdoor sports more difficult than good weather well what can I say ?

My point is that it can be a potential advantage to us today, as we are far more skillful than Soton and they will be impacted more.

They're completely trained for conditions like this, especially somewhere like Newcastle, they won't be sliding and falling around like a load of ice skating goats.

All very interesting opinions but I'm simply highlighting it'll be more scrappy because of the weather.

I can't see a single post where I've declared who's more suited to it ... I'd prefer good conditions because it allows for better football.

The poor conditions also increases the liklihood of injuries which was my secondary concern.

Heavy rain looks like it's coming in at 4, fairly light forecast for the start.

Oh no, I'm finding myself agreeing with Roy!

Hammering it down with rain results in the ball either skidding off the surface or bogging down. Surface has less grip for studs so can result in losing of footing on quick turns and generally makes swift incisive play harder.

Of course the other team has the same problem so will even out and we should still beat this lot for the 4th time this season...
