radical thought. just play football and stop over complicating it.

everyone is back fit (ish) surely get players facing right way, playing in the right manner and do the simple things well

I am going to guarantee someone tears the absolute **** out of this fairly soon. its madness

So we've been gash all season, and your insight is to carry on doing the same thing.

    Bravo

Who’s not happy? I like that Klopp is trying something different. My view differs to yours on his suitability of a midfield role long term……and I’ve openly said that I hope I’m wrong; I’m not conceited enough to think that I’m always right. However, I will continue to offer my views, based on logic and the haters can do one <ok>

That’s not what he said though, is it? Someone rattle your cage today? Or do you normally just ridicule opinions that differ to yours <doh>

no, we've been leaving gaps all over all season.

play properly, close up the gaps, work harder and do the basics well l.

coming up with a md system with players all over the place and even more gaps its not going to work.

we will be absolutely handed our heads like this. we just played two of the worst sides in the prem and we just barely scraped by at home due to them not being able to defend set peice

we haven’t been a compact team for the majority of the season. We always appear caught between a rock and a hard place. TAA is just one of the players who’ve been found out many times.
Lol. I think you’ll find it’s the exact opposite without a single footballing reason as to why <doh> <laugh>

But, yes, go ahead and leave me be please <ok>

It's new, it will take time to Implement properly.

It's all very well saying work harder do the badics better, but if it was that simple everyteam would be level on points.

We dont have the personal to play like we have done in the past. It's pointless to try to force them to do something that they just can't do now.

The trent thing may not work. But I'm thankful that we are finally trying something different rather than relying on different players coming back to salvage something for the season.

The fall has been along time coming, we must evolve, but that's not going to happen if everytime we change something people hark back to how it used to be because its not perfect straight away.

I've given my reasons, you ignored them.

But I've not seen you clarify where you'd play trent, being as he terrifys you in midfield but is poor defensively so surely shouldn't play right back.

    Few things for me
    Where TAA concerned
It’s impossible that what he is doing isn’t under instruction or condoned
The logic dictates this - if he weren’t - he would be bummed off
I trust Klopp and his teams footballing nous over my own

I totally think we are trying something new - many on here have commented how Klopp needs to try something new as we have been found out - he tried something new and people are judging it before the finished article takes place - if it means developing the new Klopp team I will happily take EL EC or No Europe
Klopp knows what he is doing he builds teams end of
Happy to wait while he sorts everything out <cheers>

Yet we only conceded from set pieces ourselves, so not only have we won 2 games (including an away fixture where before w hadn’t scored all season to bottom half team) we’ve also got 6 points and been more solid only giving away chances at set pieces.

I gave my opinions earlier; it doesn’t surprise me that you haven’t read or commented on that post.. You are a bit of a dismissive tw@t (not just with me) so I’d rather not get back into it tbh.

I agree, JK knows what he needs to do but it should not stop anyone having an opinion on a certain player in a certain position on a football forum though, should it?

how many games have we seen where the opponents sit in and catch us. we are leaving exactly the same type of gaps with konate having to cover 40 yards of space.

we played an awful Leeds side who hit the ball of trent to allow us break and then left masses of gaps.

we played a dog rough forest side who kept grabbing at set peice not marking but who just shuffled about for a half without conceding a chance. they then roughed us up for throws as their sole weapon.

neither of these two results should be lauded. they are welcome yes but should be won week in week out with our side.

as I said we are going to get absolutely torn apart playing this very soon.

it's against every common sense of football for a right full to wander 20 towards out of position to stand at 6 while the rcm runs 20 yards to inside right forward and expect the right cb to clean everything up.

there's absolutely zero chance of any of them recovering if the ball gets turned over quickly.

the absolute basic action of a 6 ought to be to cover your cb if they stride forward or come.out marking a forward.

trent stood watching or worse ran forward as konate carried the ball yesterday.

we will be absolutely cut asunder playing this. we wouldn't try this against real madrid imo so why try it against West ham or spurs.

I'm happy to discuss your opinion, offer a counter point. The reasons I believe your wrong.

Unfortunately your argument boils down to I'm right your wrong. Then calling me a twat.

I've pointed out that you think trent is poor defensively but you think he's best as a defender, which makes no sense.

Like I said earlier, I'm happy you've got an opposing opinion, it's the fun of football.

But you've spat your dummy out.

Hnlike where we got torn apart playing the old system against Brentford. Or Brighton. Or wolves. Or city…

And like I said before why would you ask TAA to drop into cb when Konate moved forward? Whole idea is to get TAA into midfield to impact forward play. Fabinho is the one to drop in and cover if needed

You’re saying the job of a 6 is to drop in. Think it’s stupid putting numbers to role. Means **** all. He’s number 66 so what is the position and role of number 66? Fabinho is number 3?

Fabinho is the defensive midfielder, if anyone is covering then it’s him. Getting TAA more infield is to impact the attacking play, outnumber them when we have the ball in the middle and create a 4 man central midfield.

how many players missing or injured there.

at least compare apples with apples.

I predicted before Brighton and Brentford that both would run us off the park. they did.

I asked for players to sit and and have some sense. they don't.

as for trent covering his cb. it's the absolute basics of playing no 6. have you never watched prime fabinho drop in behind matip as he charged forward. you just slot in. its extremely simple thing to do and the basics.

there's a gap, fill the gap. matip cannot lose it and get back to cb but he can make the midfield line so you have to fill the biggest most dangerous gap.

with respect fabinho is playing left side of the two 6s here. why would he be asked to run 20 yards over to cover the rcb when trent is there within 5 or 10 yards and can do it if he has any brain.

you'll also not you bring up wolves. who coughed up two goals? matip. mistakes.

you mention city. do you seriously want to see us try this mess on against a side like city?
