Now we can put to bed silly notions of reaching the play-offs following today's embarrassing rout, we need a serious re-build over the next 4/5 months.

Given we've not got a pot to urinate into we need to sell who we can. These players have failed twice in the EPL, there's a fragile mentality within, time to cull plenty and start afresh with hungry lge1 players.

Sell:
Idah
Krul
Gibson
Giannoulis
Aarons
Platcheta
Hernandez
Tzolis
Idah

Est. total: £22-30m

Re-sign:
Byram
Dowell

Release:
Webber (fat chance <laugh>:emoticon-0140-rofl:<laugh>:emoticon-0140-rofl:)

Time for the scouting team to earn their corn.

Hernandez and Idah won’t be sold, they signed new contracts this season.

Why would anyone want to re-sign Byram, he has never been fit for 3 months consecutively for us. We can’t afford to carry his wages

That could depend on whether Aarons stays or goes. With Bali Mumba coming back from a hugely successful year at Plymouth (6 goals and 9 assists), space may be limited. Byram's advantage is the ability to play well in a variety of positions (RB, LB, DM & CB). Mumba has a similar versatility, though, with the ability to score goals and provide assists, so it will be an interesting one.

Wagner knows the players now and much will depend on the ability they have to fit his system and make it work. So far we know that McLean, Idah and Hernandez will be staying as they've signed new contracts. Wagner says he wants Dowell to stay as well. My guess is that Sargent, Núñez and Sara will be staying unless generous bids come in.

In a similar situation at Huddersfield, Wagner went for just a few new players who would fit his system and make it work and I think it will be similar now. In Farke's first season we finished 14th and then won the Championship a year later. Hopefully we're in a similar situation now if Webber can come up with some new signings similar to Pukki and Buendia back then. No pressure then Stuart.

I would agree about Byram’s versatility were he ever fit, but he never is and therefore his ability to provide cover in all these areas is limited. In terms of ability he would be worth it but unfortunately he can’t seem to avoid injuries.
Mumba has had a great season and I certainly think we should be making him part of the squad next season

Who will be our number 2 keeper next year? ( I don't think however much Rangers want Gunn that he will be sold to them)

Let's be clear here, I don't care if J. Bloggs has signed a new contract, the fact they've been deemed good enough to be offered one in the first place is issue enough, that's not to say players like Sorenson, Rowe & Camara are good enough either, but at least they may show a glimpse of something next season, perhaps. The fact is cumulative dross has been accumulated over many seasons, now coming home to roost.

Take today's match who'd you rather be leading the line? Adam Idah or Thomas-Asante? That's a no brainer.

We have far too many fans who cling onto bygones past, because e.g. someone played well and put in a tackle 12 matches ago for the first time in the season, so should be given a run of matches - soft & cuddly Norwich.

Maybe he really wants to sell him?
Yes, imagine believing he's answer to our goal scoring or creative issues :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Why wouldn't Gunn go if a decent say £6m bid came in? Having now got a Scottish cap, he'll want to be playing at his highest level (so 4-6 european matches + 60/40 chance of a league medal), with a cup thrown in to boot.

It's pointless to talk about players until things are sorted at a higher level.
Indeed, but let's be honest, what's going to change? Delia & co won't go, Attanasio isn't going to buy us out and splurge.
Webber isn't going with his wife on board.
The only change we may see is a new manager, but with no £££ to pay off another contract that's unlikely.
