I read with great joy that this idiot's mega-rocket exploded after take-off and then I realized how sad it really is that he has no thoughts as to how that wasted money could be helping the world. Self indulging billionaires like him leave a sour taste in my mouth, especially when they think that self-indulgence is a better way to spend their monies in a world full of need. The world that I see every day is one that needs a lot of help in so many areas and before anyone, including so-called super powers, start wasting billions in currency trying to see above the planet's atmosphere they should seriously attend to the problems besetting the earth down below. Unfortunately he is not the only self-serving waste of space (pun not intended) that throws money around as if he doesn't give a ****e what other people think, or care about how that money could have been used to benefit mankind rather than one man. Steamrolling over people is fast becoming the order of the day and I just wish the movers and shakers of this world would wake up one day and ask if there is a better way? No chance I suppose.
Musk Gates Bezos Oligarchs All megalomaniacs But it’s their money Even if it could be put to better uses But then they would be tools of governments around the world
I agree it’s immoral that any individual has so much when there are many millions who are starving. In relation to exploration it’s our nature, it’s what makes us the most successful species on the planet. We always want to know what’s over the horizon.
And in terms of helping other countries and helping those who are starving around the world, literally trillions has been spent on that during my lifetime The trouble is that often the organisers and more so the governments of the impoverished nations just cream off the money for themselves Unfortunately there is no easy fix
a long way from now but when earth is toast human race will need to say we tried to find somewhere else ... dont think it will ever be possible as in theory all the space "adventures" are fun but that is all!
I hadn't noticed that this debacle was paid for by NASA, so kudos to them for their stupidity in backing a fool to lose their money (taxpayers really). My next hope now is that Twitter crashes and burns to spoil Musk's day and my only concern is that a Canadian has been picked to visit space in his version of "Apocalypse Now".
