Bristol Kidnap Attempt

There was a story that was kept largely under the radar, but 4 men were seen beating up another in Hengrove and trying to bundle the victim into the boot of a car.
This happened last Sunday
Police were called, and arrests were made at the time and the victim was found injured and bleeding on Airport Road.
The four have since been released on bail as of yesterday, but what none of the media have stated is that they are from Kosovo. Whether legal or illegal is unknown.
I'm assuming it's because the evil post and others don't want to be seen as racist ?
Either way the media should be reporting the full facts, not leaving out important information.

Media-governments only tell us what they want us to now.So wrong.
 
In war there’s always an element of propaganda, on both sides. However Russia is on another level. They never allow free journalism and anyone who speaks out against the state is dealt with, political opponents are either locked away for years on end, or come to a sudden demise.

I agree
But it seems to me that nothing at all is being done by the west in trying to try and talk to Russia, and start to bring this madness to an end.

I don’t know that they can, nothing was done when they took Crimea, hoping it would end there, now they are just tying to gain more of Ukraine, if they aren’t stopped when will it end?

It won't end, especially if people make no effort to get people round a table to try and find a solution to stop the bloodshed and the colossal amount of money it is costing everyone on both sides. But efforts need to be made otherwise this could still be happening in 10 or 20 years time.

I appreciate that, the West though wants to negotiate from a position of strength which they don’t have at present. We wouldn’t like it if France took, Cornwall for instance and negotiated to try to keep it .

But Cornwall doesn't belong to France, and whilst the area that Ukraine occupies was once part of the Russian Empire, it's not been theirs for a long time.
They gave it up the way we gave up India, Hong Kong and a large part of the West and East Indies.

a ceasefire now would mean Russia wins the territory it has invaded! ..

Before the USSR was started then broke up all the countries around it were their own sovreigntity decades ago pre USSR they were all still recognised as single states all had their own identities ... the whole shebong [SEPARATE STATES ] fared well until Russia started its antics of trying to take back bits that had econmical aspects they were short of They can right off their baltic naval fleet if there was an escalation... the neutral country that was Finland is not anymore .. and have been victims of Russian land grab in the past!

I'm not really in a position to help you with your dilemma RP, but certain things I read and am told about what's going on over there doesn't always tally to what's reported by the media.. I have a nephew over there, so say helping/fighting (1st time for about 9 months and now out for a 2nd time and of course not supposed to be).. Bit of a lunatic as he was also out in Syria previously for about a year.. To be fair, I don't ask many questions, but his views, are quite different to what we are all told..

That’s my point the parts of Ukraine Russia have invaded needs to be given back to Ukraine, why would Ukraine negotiate with Russia whilst Russia still occupies, and wishes to remain in control of them.

Any negotiations would need to see those area occupied illegally by Russia, returned to Ukraine, Russia isn’t going to agree to that, hence no negotiations.

Obviously it's quite delicate, as some of the eastern regions where Russia have declared rigged election results actually choose to speak Russian out of choice, and some see Russia as their true motherland not Ukraine.

It needs a diplomatic solution where Putin doesn't get humiliated, even though he deserves it hugely, and people living in former Ukraine regions get to move into real Russian territory if that's what they want with the annexed areas, including Crimea are returned to Ukraine. Unlikely I know.

It's costing the west untold billions of pounds/dollars every week that we are paying for during the biggest cost of living crisis in a century, countless lives on both sides are being lost unnecessarily, and all the while American armaments firms such as Lockheed-Martin are rubbing their hands, as re-orders for their kit come flooding in as it's used up supporting the Ukrainian government, who, from what I've heard are, or certainly were, as corrupt any government anywhere before the war started, if not more so, with many links to powerful people in America such as the Bidens for instance.

And this is exactly how and why America got so rich and powerful after the Second World War. By using up armaments during the conflict and then paying firms like Boeing, Lockheed, Willis (Jeep) and co billions to resupply the armed forces.

All the while this is happening of course, our own meagre military supplies are being dwindled away.

I'm not saying we shouldn't support Ukraine, I just think that someone somewhere needs to stick their head above the parapet and ask why diplomatic avenues aren't being tried, and hard to try and resolve it.

best not to phone likely bugged ..... know exactly what you mean ... things dont tally up ... media has to add spice. ITS A BIT LIKE THE DICLAIMERS they put on documentary programmes ... based on real events and ... then a disclaimer to say some parts have been glorified and some bits that didnt occur have been added in to make it more "enjoyable to watch?" ......

Like I said previously both sides use propaganda in war. Plus of course are biased, bit like different fans view of a game.
