In a match that I was sure we could get a pasting we are actually looking very good at half-time with a score of 0-0. We have probably had more good chances than Sheff Utd and our inability to put them away is evident, particularly our lack of muscle and height in their penalty area. Zak is having a good game and I think should we bring players in that are capable of taking some of the pressure off him he good get even better. Sheff Utd will come back after the break with more pressure to try and break us down, so we will need to tighten up at the back and maybe cause danger on breakaways.

We had a great chance to get something going after a foul on Alex Scott on the edge of the penalty area. The free kick didn't come close to getting over the wall and it sums up our lack of coaching on free kicks and corners as they are a blot on our ability.

Absolutely spot on onefor and I hope Nigel fixes it in the summer because I am at the end of my accepting mediocrity, bordering on incompetence.
I think we could be playing all night and tomorrow and still not score..
we do so much good in a game, it makes it even more disappointing to get nothing from it..
Like you Mike I hope NP has some answers for next season

Pleased with our performance, we’ve come a long way. More than held our own for most of the game. Final third let us down. Was disappointed with Scott when he came on kept trying worldy passes.

Played the better football at Watford and Sheff Utd but we are powder puff going forward.
We need a ruthless hungry striker think Wells has had his best days misses more than he scores.
Conway and Bell are still raw need another season to get up to the standard required off championship football.
Weimann is a fraction of last seasons player. We need some changes for next season if we are serious of a push.

Weiman has not been good all season, last season maybe was his swansong. At least Wells creates chances, hasn’t he the highest number of assists?.

Just listened to NP on RB, he called out the subs, saying they didn’t give enough effort, obviously not a happy man. Didn’t notice it with Conway particularly, although he didn’t really impact the game, but Scott I agree, I hope all the attention recently hasn’t gone to his head.

I just read NP's comments and I think he is close to the mark, although another major contributor was the fact we have no height or brawn up front. The free kick by Scott just on the edge of the penalty area was appalling, just when we had the spark of a chance we deserved. Zak played well but Jay beside him puts both under pressure and tonight he was at fault several times. Overall I enjoyed our play last night and the whole game was played at a good pace and was thoroughly enjoyable, other than the loss.

Zak did one tackle in the first half that was brilliant, just inside our half when they were looking to break, he kind of slid in taking the ball and the attacker, He then got up and played a really good ball forward , to either a wells or Weiman who then lost it. He really is impressive at times, especially when you consider it wasn’t that long ago people were saying his level was league one max . Well done Zak.

Zak has progressed significantly this season. The last month he has had to lead the back line that includes an inexperienced RB, and an inexperienced LB playing as a makeshift CB.
Yes, he still has lapses and potential mistakes in him, but what defender doesn’t at Championship level.
