Some of the one touch interplay in that opening phase against Palace though was off the charts and genuinely some of it was the best we've played in a pure football sense since we were promoted. Obviously in our first season back under Bielsa we may have played better but as no fans were allowed it's difficult to say. For me the real issue though is why as soon as we took the lead did the game change and that as you say has been a recurring theme all season.

That said Arsenal have given up 2-0 leads in their last two matches and so it's not just us that struggle to keep on top of the opposition.

we looked very good in patches against forest too, although they seem to make everyone look good. Agree when we put it together we play good stuff under Javi. <ok>

Truth is jambo we’ve started well in a lot of matches this season. It’s been a bit of a trend under all the managers to start well, create a few chances… usually don’t make it count… concede to the first attack from the opposition. And then down hill from there.

Palace away was a less dramatic version of palace at home.

Don’t know why we often fade… I used to think it was not being able to keep up the intensity of the press under Jesse… but it’s happened under scoobs and Javi as well. Maybe Emu’s mindset issue? Guess it’s not uncommon for relegation threatened teams to have their confidence built up prior to a game and then someone lets the air out of the balloon.
I think we might be missing the obvious. Bielsa “over trained” the players to be able to play at that intensity for 90+ minutes. Now I just don’t have the same level of stamina to keep it going.
