I'm on my old Linux PC and it doesn't get bothered by anything really. Firefox has always stepped in with good advice, i.e. stay away for the moment, before anything untoward happens. Not that that's likely anyway. My Windows PC only has the firewall on it, but I keep the data entirely on a separate HDD from the OS. It doesn't have virus protection either, and has hardly ever needed it. And I don't keep to ultra safe areas either. Besides, with WIndows, it's a good idea to regularly clean re-install the OS, as it picks up so much junk and bugs along the way. Once every 6 months is a good idea - another reason for the separate HDD. Makes everything dead easy.
Norton has been very reliable for me over the past few years so im happy to keep coming on here aslong as it deals with the problems (which it has) nothing has appeared today so i presume those sados have realised they can have better things to do or stupider people to annoy.
