They'll be rigging our games, Tottenhams and Manchesters accordingly. Newcastle will have to do it the hard way.
I thought they already have been In a way it seems to galvanise our players even more when these decisions go against us In the pre match interview Eddie was told that Brighton got an apology from the PGMOL then was asked did Newcastle get an apology? He said 'NO' The last apology to date was the one against Crystal Palace September 2022 Despite numerous other bad VAR calls against us
Think it's going to be a really interesting game today. Any bets on whether Howe will revert to Murphy-Longstaff-Guimares-Willock or go with the 2nd half team vs Brentford. I suspect he will include Longstaff for more defensive cover but would really like to see Gordon on from the start instead of Murphy. Suspect he will start Isak up front and maybe push Gordon closer to him then have Longstaff, Guimares, Joelinton, Willock across midfield.
I don't think he'll change it because he's sitting there thinking this is what's got us this far and if he needs to he can chuck Gordon and Wilson on and drop Joelinton in midfield.
Isak actually admitted that he caught him in his post-match interview but said he thought he was on the way down before he did. I think the issue with it was whether the onfield decision was a clear and obvious error and there is no way they are going to issue apologies for that, as currently there is no rule in place regarding how long they take. You need to start enjoying the game and stop getting overly invested in the referees decisions, although its proabbly a bit late for that now. They are not going to change them anyway. I don't believe any of the conspiracy theorists on here. I think the standard of refereeing is getting worse, but that's down to the introduction of VAR, and it influencing the onfield officials primary decision-making. Its also affected the players as I think they think they can influence VAR looking at something by making a fuss about it. It needs sorting out, and in fact I would go further and try scrapping it for a season and see if things improve.
I know what you mean. Having Gordon and Wilson to come on from the bench, if things aren't going well, is far better than having Murphy and Longstaff. I am a big admirer of Longstaff but neither he nor Murphy are game changers.
I don't but this standard of refereeing notion personally. Every man and his dog can look at those screens and see the foul at Spurs. Where there's millions there's corruption.
Yes but they're solid and reliable which is important away from home ... they'll be up against it early so just be in the game and crank it up when required.
Each Club in the PL has one share/vote on all decisions made by the PL. If the other 14 clubs thought the referees were corrupt and favouring the top 6 why don't they vote for a different system?.
Yes of course , but that's underestimating the use. They don't have to be stupid they just have to edge things here and there accordingly. If you put 4 swimmers in a swimming pool and you make the water choppy for the others that's enough. It's quite simple for me ... they saw the penalty at Spurs and just didn't give it... they didn't turn into stevie wonder. You're of course entitled to believe the games clean.
