    Our Ricardo !
doesnt it just show how much we missed the guy ..
We simply dont have anybody in the top half that changes a game like our ric
It might be that Super john can battle .. KW outjumps sometimes .. Crouchy can hold it up sometimes ..
Cameron Jerome bought to maybe fill this gap ?
BUT seriously can any of them do what Fuller does ?
turns a game on its head in seconds !!
Thats what Stoke are really missing at this moment in time spontaneous class !
We all know he can be bone as well at times .. stoke staff says he should of been back at least a month ago !!
    Thats Ric !

<ok> Always love to watch Fuller.. he can be a right lazy so and so but.. the ONLY player we have who can do the unexpected. I for one can't wait to see Ric in a Stoke shirt, the sooner the better. That goal v West Ham, another v West Brom awesome when he plays like that. Get Ric Stoke fit and soon T.P.

Don't like the guy. Past it. Would've left in the summer without his injury.

Whats the point in busting his balls to be the 5th choice striker? Love him, but loath him. Best impact sub we could have and he didnt cost us 4 million like Jerome!

Dont quite get 1 thing about ric?

How some people describe him as a legend!

I've always said he is a scorer of great goals (not many), but not a great goalscorer, how does that make him a legend?

I agree on his day he was unplayable, but that was like 1 in 10 games, if he did not mope around & can be arsed, plus score 1 in 3 games, then maybe he would have become a legend.

But i suppose that is ric.

Me too Huthy, I never did 'get' the legend Fuller schtick either, great goals now and again, that's it.
What makes him a favourite of many is tha he is NOT your typical Pulis type - which is really odd as he played for Pulis at Portsmouth!! He seems to get away with murder at the training ground and all Pulis says is - "that's Ric", whereas other players only have to sneeze to be in the black book, dropped, ostracised and transferred - wonder why??

Think I'll buzz off and write a very silly thread by way of explanation - you will read it first here!

    Nope,
Not a legend in my book either but, from what I've seen so far.. Jerome, isn't even close skill wise, Jones could not trap cement, Ric was and I hope he still is quicker than both...
I just think, he could be useful that's all Sgt. EVEN if he's used as a sub for say half an hour.. given we're not exactly top of the goals for column..
I don't see why you think he's past it!

The goal against Birmingham aside, he did very little last season to show he can still hack it at this level. He's getting on, and would've most certainly gone abroad for one last pay day had it not been for his injury.

To be honest lads if you dont like players like fuller the pulis has already brainwashed you. We have nobody like him and he is exactly what we need, he gets the crowd going and you never know what hes going to do next. You are all on about how many goals he has scored but when have stoke had a player that scores goals in the ;last 8 years?. Its people like Ric that keeps me going and helps me to believe that we can change the way we play. Yes he is nearing the end of his career but if he goes then that would be the last creative player gone from the club meaning that we will have accepted to play big boot for years to come. What we need is more players like him and not just 7 foot tall strikers.

When fit fuller is the most exciting player at stoke.

  11. I hope that he is fit soon. I also feel he is idle. arrogant on the pitch when Stoke attacks break down. However he has changed since KJ was signed. Agree with comments that he does score some wonder goals but he does miss them big time as well! Chelski at home springs to mind. No I must not be negative on Ric. We need him back bigtime as he does make a difference and hopefully he may stir KJ an dCrouchie to score a few more for we need them. Starting on 19th!

Ric i never said i did not like him, just that loads of people think he is a legend (especially on the Oatcake), whereas i do not rate him as a legend, i stated on his day, yes he is unplayable, just those days for me were too far & in between.

I agree he is the only player in this current squad that can actually turn a game on his own, just my own personnal feelings is that he could have shown a hell of a lot more with the abundance of natural ability the he clearly has.

    Very Good player - Yes
    Legend - No

Agreed, its interesting how a couple of magical moments define your status or career? Still think he would be inspirational in games if he came on about 70 mins!

Smithers i agree, but it depends after 70 mins if it is 0-0, because on current form we would be 3-0 down <ok>

I agree with 99.9% of that. I do not rate Fuller as a very good player as by my book a very good player is someone who is extremely consistent and Fuller has never been that consistent. However the rest of it I wholeheartedly agree with. It's not only Fuller that the Oatie has a massive love for, it's Rory as well. I think we all admire and love Rory but some of the guys on the Oatie are saying he's been our best player this season! Rory had a few good home games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Manure but has been largely very poor besides those 3 games in my opinion.

IMHO, Delap has played really well twice.. the rest of the games I've seen at home I think he has been woeful but, he isn't the ONLY Stoke player I could mention.
Play Fuller instead of Rory every time. <laugh>

I'm not abig fan of Rory but I do agree that I have seen him have some of best games this season! However, that doesnt justify playing him week in week out - you would expect him to play well eventually the amount of games he has had; Its like dropping zero on roulette, spin enough times and will eventually happen! He also looks good because very few other players have played well - in effect he has been the best of a bad bunch! IMO.
