I use Sharp Addy and Train on Albion Street. Great service and not too expensive.

We use Southgates in Hedon - very good. Pay them monthly, and they do all VAT Returns, Payroll and Yearly Books

    Cheers all

This is just for a one off return at first I think. Very simple, but just want someone who will get what can and can't be claimed as expenses right.

I would suggest to them to charge as much as they can get away with.

My Dad used TaxAssist Accountants on the corner of Anlaby Road and Spring Bank West he always swore by them. Especially on the expenses as his previous accountant on Hessel Rd got him in some bother a few year before

I will say that after he killed himself they were super helpful to me in sorting out quite a complicated set of affairs with his final tax bill.

A family Member of mine has just started up his own Accountancy company in the last couple of weeks. He is fully qualified and has years of experience working with the likes of PWC. He lives locally and specialises in company tax. Sure he would you give you a reasonable deal if you mention Hull City...always worth asking. You can find find him via his website randell-accounting.co.uk

The vast majority of accountants know what can be claimed as a deduction against tax but we are not miracle workers.

There was an accountant a few years ago who got thousands of clients among freelance media people
They were impressed by everybody saying he made sure they didnt pay much tax
He used to make up expenses and included them in the tax returns and didnt even show copies to his clients.
Eventually HMRC realised and he was struck off and jailed
His clients had to pay back tax and penalties

I don't object to paying my way and standing my corner, but it does get hard to take when I see some of the ****e it gets wasted on, or embezzled with apparent impunity.

If it's wrong not to pay it, it should be at least equally wrong to waste it.

I don’t want to pay a penny less than I should.
I just want to get it right first time that’s all.
Tbh I think I can do it myself anyway, but worth a check I think. Only a few areas I need clarity though
