Seems like the clubs have acted quickly - and surprisingly before any information or gossip has actually come to light.

There will be some form of statement from the CPS or police at some point I'd imagine.

No hint from anywhere as to what this is about, or that it was coming?
 
Must be a canny way down the line if the CPS are charging him. They must have substantial evidence about whatever he is alleged to have done.

Spoke to a Lincoln fan last week who said his form has dropped off a cliff… guess he’s had something else on his mind. Silly boy.

I agree if guilty he should be sent down. I’m a strong believer however that people shouldn’t be named until it’s proven, especially with the recent case of that lass being sent down for lying about being assaulted. Would be difficult keeping it quiet being a footballer but there must be a way.

His career is already going to be adversely affected by this.

Yeah I’d agree with that, Ched Evans is still tagged with it despite being proved innocent

Northumbria Police say on-loan Lincoln City footballer Jack Diamond has been charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The Imps say his loan spell has been terminated. He's due to appear in court in May.
