I don't think we can go paying over the odds for new talent, so we will have to rely on NP"s experience and keen eye to get the job done.

one of the main things we do not know is the agreement with the EFL . on our debt and management of!
We publically stated we buy in improve and sell on .. we develop through academy and maybe eventually sell on etc . ... our business model!

Should we suddenly get £30m- 40m for a couple of players and then spend £25m+ on a replacement or 2 or 3 how would that go down?

We don’t know, but the club does. They aren’t going to spend more than we are able.

    Edit
That’s why when some people suggest if we sell Scott we’ll be able to splash out on all sorts of new players it’s not the way it works, we have to still keep within our plan, and make sure we’re compliant within FFP.

Pre covid it was working, our last accounts before no crowds and lock down. When Championship and EFL lge's "had money".. pre covid it set up the transfer pyramid .. Prem would always pay more than a championship club would ... etc etc
Now Championship seems to have less? .. Prem expects to pay less .. needs a good strong bid for Alex maybe £25m plus add ons and then a couple of other Prem teams jump in as well! .. has to more than Webster!

We are in a good position in terms of the length of contract Scott has, however if his head is turned then it’s difficult, it’ll depend on who the suitors are. Of course if several want him then that’ll play into our hands as it’ll be a bidding war. An interesting window coming up imo
