I believe you mate. When I was in Newcastle General receiving my Chemo there were TV crews sniffing about wanting a story. The staff asked me if I would talk to them about a show they wanted to do, I said yes but they never came back to me. There were a few youngish lads on the ward with me at the time and they ended up doing a sow with one of them and they called it "bollocks to cancer"
It was on local news and I think it's still on YouTube and it shows the treatment, side effects etc from the meds on the young lad. As far as I'm aware he survive too.
The story didn't stop aftery carry on for us, my son has a serious heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Hear Syndrome. He has had open heart surgery 3 times before he was 3uears old and will need a transplant at some point. I put a video together on my Facebook account but it won't post on here for some reason. I'll give it another try.
