There are 3 parts to the pandemic - the existence of Covid, the lockdown, and the vaccine. It's worth looking at each rather than conflating them all.

The reason why Covid did exist is a simple one. And if it didn't it would be very simple to prove it also.

There were various tests for Covid, the two main ones being PCR and Antigen. The PCR test detected the genetic material of the SARS Cov 2 virus, the DNA of it. And the antigen test detected one of the outer proteins of the Covid virus.

Let's just say that both tests could be doctored in some way to detect the flu virus (even though that would involve a global conspiracy on an incredible scale which not only included every major research and health organisation but doctors, technicians, biomedical scientists all around the world).

But let's say that was possible, there is a 3rd test which is an antibody test which can identify if a person has had Covid by latching on to the antibodies of the immune system's response to the virus. The simple way to disprove it would be to take people who have had it and show the antibody test is related to the flu virus. In fact there are cases in the U.S. where some who suffered "long Covid" but were told they had flu or other illnesses bcos of initial false negative Covid tests were later able to prove they had Covid and not the flu through an antibody test.

All anyone needs to do is use a sample of say 1000 ppl who test positive through the antibody test, check the antibody dna to see if it matches the flu virus on a large enough scale, and publish it. It's really not that hard.

As for the global response - the lockdown measures in the initial period and during the height of its spread was a necessity that saved lives. The alternative which we saw in Italy and easily forgotten, when little was known, shows just how massive it was. It wasn't an overreaction at all.

The vaccine is less conclusive. The two jabs I see as being effective and with little anecdotal evidence to suggest they were any more harmful than any other vaccine. The pro's far outweighed the con's. Having said that, I don't believe it was necessary for children and that should never have been pushed. I get that children can spread the virus but there were other possible solutions we could've explored...and in the end the fact many children aren't vaccinated whilst everyone else was suggests we generally ended up being just fine.

The booster 3rd jab however I believe has too many question marks, and I know personally of ppl who have had raised blood pressure, loss of certain senses etc which has impacted considerably on their lives, so I say fck that, me and mine aren't having it. And I tend to believe it's unnecessary. I could be wrong but I think the con's here don't outweigh the pro's.

The fact is though that none of the fck ups were anything but fck ups. Even the 3rd booster if it turns out to have serious side effects is bcos of fck ups. not some global conspiracy or hoax. And if the government is covering up anything, it's the fck ups, and I can well believe that's possible. But that's not the same as saying it's a hoax or anything pre-planned.

People really going to start saying Trainspotting is **** now? They'll be wrong.
Great film, along with shallow grace. Honourable mentions to 127 hours and 28 days later. The Steve jobs one wasn’t bad either

If only the fk ups were British based only hey
Lol

No, the fck ups happen everywhere. Although atm I only see them in the response (excessive measures in restrictions) and the 3rd booster. Both of those were/are global.

No fk ups these people ain’t dull even though they pretend to be

A calculated attack no more no less
