Haven't watched it for years, same with MOTD. When City were on MOTD we were usually last, and they even sometimes managed not to show some goal scoring chances we had. :emoticon-0100-smile

The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

Watching highlights of City on TV has become a real ballache since the EFL show did one. It was one a gameshow network last season, seems to have come back to ITV but watching it back on ITV Hub always seems clunky and the layout is well ****. I just watch our highlights on Youtube now.

A good example of the media's delusion that everyone loves Gary Lineker, fans of Leicester, Arsenal and Newcastle may do this but I'd be surprised if pro Lineker chants extended outside the Premier League bubble and across the rest of football?
I record MOTD on a series link every week ( habit?), on the rare occasion I don’t delete it without watching, I fast forward the punditry and just watch the games that may have a modicum of interest to me.
Probably will watch this weeks.

Not at all, I don't understand why you paint me as some sort of heavily biased person, I don't think at any point during this conversation I've called for somebody to be undeservedly cancelled or prevented from giving their views.

Everybody tends to agree with people whose views match their own, that's not really a "gotcha", what I take umbridge with is people who are in a position of responsibility and use that platform to spout things that aren't true or deliberately attack others to with an intent to cause harm. Which I wouldn't call bias, but I guess a handful of people might.

Umbridge? Is that a village near the one where the Archers is set?

Did he make the comment on motd?

He's entitled to say what he wants, we're entitled to agree or disagree.

Not many under 25 watch TV at all,

I agree with this. 12 years to have resolved immigration issues, and something cobbled together in weeks and involving giving France half a billion taxpayer pounds. 6 years to have resolved Brexit/Northern Ireland, 12 years to have improved housing builds etc. Lions led by donkeys.

I don't see the BBC as left or right wing, just the corporate and government mouthpiece it has become. Covid-19 was the final nail for it. Fiona Bruce's comments on newsnight regarding Stanley Johnson were embarrassing.

Someone still watches Question Time?

The BBC is supposed to be impartial. If he’d tweeted support for the policy and used fairly extreme language to do so he would still be in breach of their rules. It’s not really relevant what he said, he’s paid a fortune by the BBC and is fully aware of the guidelines. He’s got previous, he’s been asked then warned not to do so, but he obviously thinks he’s bigger than everyone else employed by the people who pay his wages. His previous political tweets have ended with a slap on the wrist, as it’s now escalated to require a kick in the balls I would like to join the queue to administer the punishment.

This is the point isn't it?

If he had tweeted support there wouldn't be an issue, like sir Alan tweeting against Labour and supporting Bojo.

The people supporting him at the BBC are ex/current players, appears a principle thing more than left / right / other politics

The BBC have suspended him which would challenge it being lefty or righty...

The arts / entertainment tend to be more left / other orientated as a group, though not exclusively

It isn't a left right issue.

It's about the right to hold a personal opinion and publicise it.

Everyone should have that right except those very top levels of civil service or sensitive intelligence.

And match of the day isn't that.
