I've only caught a bit of one episode and was a bit mystified by most of it but in this example it would appear capital letters are increasing 0, 1, 2 so presumably the next has 3. Each has 5 lower case letters 3 of which are vowels. So we're looking for an 8 letter country with 3 vowels in the last 5 letters. BULgaria.

Needed a lot more than that, the answer was SOUth africa. The capital letters at the start were how many capital cities that country has.
 
There was even a bit about Super Caley Go Ballistic Celtic Are Atrocious. Love to see Only Connect take the piss out of the papes.

One of the questions involved Dick Fosbury and it used this same photo, it turns out he has just died. How weird is that? (Obviously it would have been filmed well before he died)

Had to stay off this thread till I watched it, good match, better team on the night won etc at least Alex made the effort with a nice dress. @monacoger did you get the Where's Wally question?
