BBC: "We're not going to be doing any of the sports stuff due to ongoing issues. However it's really important we try and jinx the **** out of Newcastle just for the sake of it, I know you'll all understand. Gary approves"
Isak is the only player worth **** at NUFC tbh Took our coach about 5 months to see it like but it's nice he caught up to the rest of us
Sorry but the Wolves striker dived so why no booking? Shows how **** we are too.. toon already one up and pushing on. Game pretty much over
Yeah, he's looked shakey so far. Was ace prior to the Liverpool incident a few games back but that combined with the suspension and he's looking a lesser player, hopefully he'll get over it. FYI your team won today @Saff was a good result.
Bruno is by far our best player, it's no coincidence that we lost both games against your bunch when he wasn't on the pitch. If we don't compete for trophies and/or Champions league qualification he'll be gone in the next 18 months, can see him in a Real Madrid top already tbph. Botman has looked very good for his first season, he's still young but looks as good as we could have hoped. Tripps very good but out of form and not young. Isak... I'll be convinced if he does it more regularly but not yet. The rest of our squad is a mixture of Championship and barely top 10 of the Prem players. Willock, Almiron, Wilson, Schar, Burn, etc would get eaten alive if we actually did qualify to play midweek fixtures on top of our other games.
We've got 2-3 players like that. Almiron used to be a shocker but seemed to do it much less now so that's a positive but ASM and Bruno regularly wave imaginary cards to referees to try and get opposition players booked. Cannot stand it. I know other teams do it regularly too but I watch my team more often and it annoys me. Anyway we're winning so I'll just about manage for now
Is today's game the one where the 'rules' are applied with no consistency whatsoever and at the whim of some bloke sat in a VAR studio? That game? If every player who slightly mistimes a tackle and makes accidental contact with an opponents body gets sent off, fine. They've then taken tacking or challenging for a ball out of the game. They don't anyway though.
FFS we need a second here. All over them but at 1-0 it's pretty much given that they'll score. something like 10 out of the last 15 games we've played against Wolves have been 1-1. Feels like the West Ham game when we could/should have gone a couple of goals ahead and then ended up hanging on for a draw.
I don't think it was obvious either way from what I've seen (only just seen it in pictures so possibly looked different in video). Think there's been more inconsistency this season than the norm as they've been trying to tweak the rules (when VAR gets involves etc) as the season progresses. It's probably correct to try and evolve the process but it is frustrating as it adds to the issues of consistency and still seems a touch vague when it gets used and when it doesn't. As fans we're always likely to notice the ones that go for us and not the ones against, early in the season it felt like we were getting shafted on a weekly basis but I can't think of anything since Christmas, which probably means we've been getting the rub of the green (like the Pope incident earlier in this match).
