Well done, you've found a person, one who understandably carries deep scars, who sort of makes similar comments. That doesn't legitemise anything.
Look, it's simple, in his position you simply can't go round talking **** like that (comparing us to Nazi Germany). He's an idiot for thinking he can ....never mind that if you stop and think about it for even one second the situations are anyway totally incomparable and the accusations simply ridiculous.

That's a funny way of saying "Wow actually maybe he was right that the language used in the policy is similar to Nazi Germany because other people who actually LIVED through that period might have a clue about what they're talking about".

It's very telling those that come out in support of said policies and those that oppose it. Very telling.

During the hieght of the Black Lives Matter protests one local BBC radio presenter was guest speaker at a BLM protest meeting on Queens Gardens in Hull. He was introduced on stage as 'BBC's....' Even Look North covered it. No-one battered an eyelid around here.
That’s slightly different from their highest paid and highest profile employee being asked several times not to show political bias, yet continuing to do so.

When was he asked not to show political bias? Out of interest, do you think if he'd tweeted in support of the government's policy he'd have similarly been asked to stand down?

But the cutting out of anti government voices have been going on whatever the government of the day is. The BBC is supposed to be impartial and that particularly applies to its highest paid presenter. If Lineker doesn’t like the constraints of his contract he should decline to accept its money, but being a total hypocrite he won’t have the moral decency to do so.
Being impartial is the bedrock of the BBC, for its star presenter to compare government policy to 1930’s Germany is a blatant breach. If he called a Labour policy as being akin to 1930’s Stalin he would be just as guilty. I’ve no problem with his tweets, I’m occasionally sympathetic to his views, but he can’t expect to so blatantly break the rules and still expect the BBC to pay him.

Did he compare government policy to 1930s Germany?

In the quotes, he said that the dehumanising language used is reminiscent...

That's quite a big difference.

He’s been asked several times not to tweet political bias, as quoted by the person in charge who actually told him. And yes, if he’d tweeted in support of the policy he would also be in breach of the rules.

So do you honestly think he'd not be presenting MOTD tonight if he'd tweeted in support of the government? Genuinely interested in your response here.

Hang on. Who said anything about supporting the 'said policies'? Don't make stuff up.
It's nothing to do with whether someone supports the policies or not. He was bang out of order.
And think also about the many German people in this country who have to endure such stupid comments, and I'd guess many holocaust and war survivors / relatives who would take offence with such comparisons.
He just shouldn't go there as a way of supporting his views. End of. It really is that simple.

-> Good job that he didn't then. Would it hurt you to actually read what he said?

Oh come on. The inferences are crystal clear.

He'd be presenting tonight if he'd posted he disagreed and didn't support the policy... The fact he made a absolutely ridiculous comparison to something that this said policy is nothing like is the reason he's not presenting

He's every right to not agree and not support, but He's an absolute idiot for saying what he said and has rightly been removed.

Yes. He’s been told not to show political bias yet considers himself bigger than the BBC.
If he’s still at the BBC at the time of the next election, do you think it would be acceptable to tweet to all his followers that they should not vote Tory? Genuinely interested in your response here.

Then you're an absolutely naive idiot. Good to know!
