Of course you realise that this situation will replicate itself on Sunday's MOTD2, in that no-one will be willing to host MOTD2 either, leading to the programme being shelved. Saints will have won 4-0 at Old Trafford, with brilliant team goals, and no-one will ever see it.

Yeah it’s a ****ing ludicrous decision.
I don’t agree with his politics but he has every right to voice an opinion

Theo won't come to the rescue with his famed dressing room presence.

If MOTD does go ahead, in some way, I would guess they might need to edit the soundtrack to cut out pro Lineker and anti BBC chants.

Unfortunately I anticipate many of the more vocal elements of our fan base and many others will be supportive of the decision.

Hearing Le Tiss was on GB News criticising Ian Wright, will be a new low if true.

He’s missed the ones where he posted a photo of Corbyn photoshopped into a Hitler photo op - and said he’d seen the Senegal national team down the beach selling stuff to tourists.

Not me they haven't, I might even watch MOTD again now.

All this gnashing and wailing over that smug twat when this could be the ideal time to breathe some life back into that tiresome programme.
Shame about Wrighty but all it needs now is Interesting Danny Murphy to join Lineker, Shearer and Jenas and we could be watching someone with a pulse presenting it for a change.
The only reason the programme is so popular despite Lineker and his buddies is because football is the country's no1 sport.
Mark Chapman is a far better presenter than Lineker could ever hope to be but the Beeb will probably take it's normal route and find a black, female lesbian to fill the role. Or Eddie Izzard.
The comments about not finding someone to take over are a bit hopeful as I believe there are some within the BBC who didn't like him expressing political views while employed as a sport's presenter. I really don't think there will be any shortage of willing candidates.
No sympathy for Lineker anyway, whether you agree with the Beeb's policies or not, he has been advised about his twitter activities more than once and was more than happy to double down and bait them about it. He gave the impression he was too popular for them to do anything about it the smug twat. Good riddance.

No way would big money or governments influence the media
