Lineker stepping down from MOTD. I might not agree with what he says but surely he can say it without castigation.
The thing is the ultra right tend to be to be very pro nature/animals, they post loads of cute dog and other animal clips to message boards, and get wound up when they think foreigners are treating animals badly. It’s humans they have no time for.
All the ****ers who moan about ‘cancel culture’ get him cancelled. Know your rights. You have the right to free speech. As long as you are not dumb enough to actually try it.

So he tweeted that the Government policy is similar to that of 1930's Germany. Is that right? On the one hand, he's got the right to tweet whatever he wants. On the other hand, read the room Gary. He must have known many would jump on the bandwagon of being offended/upset by what he said and push to get him out of the public eye. Offensive, not in my book, it was, however, very unwise.

Getting all upset over that idiot Lineker. Of course he has freedom of speech, but when you enter a contract with a publicly funded broadcaster - he was on something around £2 million pa - you have either to temper it or resign and work for a purely commercial outfit. He's had enough warnings He clearly knows nothing about the Third Reich...

Sugar also publicly supported Boris Johnson at the last election. Anyone can say what they like as long as it suits the Tory agenda. Control the media, control the masses.
Why does he have to temper it or resign? It's quite pathetic really. I really do wonder if he would have to temper it or resign if he had said the policy was good and the language used was fine. I somehow doubt it, but since he's gone against the Tory BBC then that's like blasphemy!
I doubt they'd be a problem if Lineker had tweeted his support for Labour. It's clear and he's not a current affairs journalist. But saying the government sounded like the Nazis, and then challenging BBC management, was just ****ing dumb. He'll probably be back next week.
