Ridiculous. Can't be coincidence all the long-term injuries surely. We literally never have anyone out for 1 or 2 games, it's always long-term. And if he was playing on despite being injured then questions need to be answered imo.
FFS I have just said on the Norwich thread, I would try him.up front! Injuries, are really hurting us.
Our injuries this season have been unbelievable. Never known as season like it Think Roberts, Neil and Clarke are the only ones who haven't had at least 1 spell out in jured
Mmm,I agree but...if we were to continue this poor run for the next three matches, and 3 or 4 of the teams 5 or 6 points below us were to do well,we could easily find ourselves 16th or 17th. Whilst I'm not suggesting we'd be in danger,it would seem a bit uncomfortable, especially considering the quality of the football we are capable of playing.
We already have more points than it's taken to survive in the last 4 or 5 seasons. There's also no chance we lose every game from here on in. Worst case scenario (IMHO) that we drop down to 15/16th which would look crap after such a good first 2/3s of the season. More likely we beat the likes of Hull, Birmingham, Huddersfield to keep us "in touch" with the top 8 without really threatening. Gut feel says we finish 10-12th
If we're going to persist with the model of younger players who aren't used to playing full seasons yet we need a top class medical staff to keep them fit and monitor recovery properly.
I remember similar being said about Stewart couple days before he got injured warming up against Boro!
Maybe not, but it would definitely be on my list for review in the close season. We once had a team that kept Wes Brown fit all season. All. Season.
