Stoke away is never easy and I don't think there's a team in the league that look forward to an easy 3 points there. I believe that the stats show us to be susceptible from set pieces too. Norwich away - should be goals in that one but they are the most confident of all the promoted sides. WBA - pushed the big boys in a tough early schedule but lost their way (I think Odemwinge got injured which didn't help). The last looks the most promising and I'll say 3 points overall but there's no guarantee of anything. We always assume it goes on paper and we'll beat those who are off form or invested less than us but, realistically, we'll go on a poor run where we inexplicably lose a few on the bounce. We will also pick up a few surprise points though (eg Chelsea). That said, go out and blitz these teams and play like we did for the last game and a half and the sky's the limit (9 points anyway). I'll stick with my cautious 3 though.
i'd take 6 but would love 9, stoke i think we can out play them football wise, only thing we could come unstuck with is there throw ins & crouchy, norwich a bit of a bogey side but will be better prepared than last year, wba don't see a problem.
4 is a must. Anything else is a bonus. If we can avoid defeat at Stoke and Norwich and then beat West-Brom and get 5 points I will be well happy. Actually 5 points in any combination would be fantastic. I hope we dont lose to Norwich, thats the big one I think.
Performances like Spurs 2nd half and City, hard graft, maybe an extra CB in against Stoke (Clint), a lot of luck and we'll get 9 points. Can't bet against us not winning, no way.
Based on the last game We should beat all three on form. The city fans I spoke to all agreed that we could finish 8th at least ... We are on record as being the best side they have played . It remains of course that we play that well at Stoke so agree it's one game at a time but if we clash and match Stoke by getting in their faces they will roll over We have steel and skill so as all the teams here are good we have to believe we can get 9 it's the only mentality if we draw we then aim for 7 if we lose then 6 If we get 0 then permission granted to kick the dog or in my case shoot someone
Ps HH to rip the Stoke defence to bits then be called back for every set piece and throw in. I would also play Murphy in goal as he is better at crosses and should be instructed to punch as many Stoke players as he can Barton must boss the game for a ugly 2-0 win
If we only get 3 points from the next 3 games we will be in the mire end of the table. We had a 6pts cushion and now only 3pts not picking up more from these 3 games will put us somewhere where we don't want that do we.
Vale is right. I think we need to be picking up at least 4 from these. Based on our last performance that shouldn't be a problem but will we bring our A game out against the less glamorous sides as Oddball hopes? I hope so too.
4 Pts would be a good return. Remember these teams will be targeting us as well. All three matches will be difficult. It will give us a good pointer to exactly where we will be at xmas. We deffo need to pick up some points here.
My only fear is that we stand off teams **** it have a go at them now as they have seen we are super dangerous in the air and on the break get that goal and these next three teams will be on the back foot plus we have shown we have the minerals too if we go down Also I hope NW mixes his pallet a bit and introduces a hungry and lean at some stage ... He will weave in these games and damage them to a point where we all need sedatives
I doubt that we will get more than 4 points. My best guess would be a loss at Stoke, a draw at Norwich and a win against WBA, but considering how rubbish I've been in the prediction competition, that clearly won’t happen.
Like most who have posted on this thread, I feel that anything in the 3-6 point range would be great. Anything more would be a bonus. The point a game ratio, should be sufficient to keep us up. But.... then that ugly Mr Positive side of me starts to rear it's ugly head. If we're going to compete in a game, why not try to win it anyway? ( See TBGWTDT post above for a less subtle descriptive.) Especially the way we are playing lately. Who are the next three opponents? Struggling Stoke, Nondescript Norwich and Woeful West Brom. We must aim to get all three points from these games, especially as the following two games are Liverpool (a) Man.U (h). The three aforementioned sides are there for the taking. Norwich, I feel are the hardest of these. The're going well, so, at a push, i'd accept a point from them. But I do feel they are due a beating from us. We are starting to play well, the goals are starting to come. SWP & Mackie will be soon added to the score-sheet, it wont be long now. HH and Jay will continue in their rich vein in form. Plus what with January coming up, everyone will be playing for their place & giving there all. Have no fear, minimum seven points from the next 3 matches. Believe this.
Anyone saying ''I'll take 4 points from these games'' etc in this thread needs to have a good look at themselves. Admittedly two are away, but its Norwich and West Brom for crying out loud. Last week we outplayed Man City for large parts of the game and stuck 2 past them. I'll say it again - look at our last 10 games, then ask yourself if your happy with 3 or 4 points from Stoke, West Brom and Norwich. I certainly wouldn't be.
Good skills 999 What's the point in just surviving we need to leave each team thinking what a team that QPR are and what a team they are going to be It takes little time for our players all to become premiership superstars I have been saying this from day one on here The time we are done even One Size will be thought of as decent We have a superb team and it's looking like the spirit is returning Colin grab it and never let it slip again We want to win with a big smile on our faces The next three teams look boring so let's show them the QPR party
5 points as I cannot see us losing any of these matches. Stoke and Norwich will be tough, do not worry much about WBA.
Are you a bit of an idiot Calling? You must be because that silly case you've just outlined could be applied to Norwich who drew at Anfield, Stoke who drew with United and W Brom who were within one goal of the Champions. We are a NEWLY PROMOTED SIDE!! W Brom and Stoke expect to beat us and Norwich are above us in the table and will have Home advantage. Look at it from every point of view rather than a narrow "my own team" perspective for goodness sake.
