Didnt go to the game, so didnt know what the red card was for, but after looking at it, it looks more like assualt! What a terrible tackle this is! 1.37 onwards.
The lad has twitter, and been winding you lot up on it.. Nothing wrong with the tackle.. got the ball..
Your comment doesn't really deserve a response, it is so ridiculous. The tackle was about as legitimate as your lots first goal against Barnsley. Fortunately the officials were up to the mark at Acrington and blew the whistle.
Yeah, sorry Wiz, but that challenge was cynical. If the Gas player had been injured as a result we would have had the Sean Rigg Civil Court case biz all over again. I dont like to see that sort of behaviour and dont think its appropriate to support it. Delon Armitage just received five weeks for over enthusiastic tackles. Acrington's will only get 3 matches.
Although I think it was rather late and cynical I don't think it was maliceous with intent to injure! (Being an ex-full back I know where he is coming from tho!!!)
I dunno what was going through his head to be honest. If he wanted to stop the guy for 'the team' so to speak, he could have just grabbed his shirt or something, not literally look to take his legs out! Almost as bad as this
Sapphire - I tried to be, but as you get older and the opposition get younger it aint that easy - hence why I quit about 10/12 years ago!!!
