I'd forgotten about last time. I'd probably go home the next day if it was me, just book a hotel somewhere for the night, you can still celebrate or drown your sorrows after the game then, without worrying about the old bill. I reckon after what happened during the EURO's everything is going to get nailed down, so to speak.
Independent Regulator of football, white paper had it's reading in the big house today. Included within it is to stop owners from changing teams name, stop them changing team colours, stop them from relocating ground, without first consulting the fans.
He can't get me this time I baulked at the option for a ticket at £1450 ... some non season ticket holders got tickets in a ballot ahead of people that have been going for decades..... man united fans could get the same offer I got at like £900 ... i guess they know the toon fans are more desperate.
Some people have too much money and just want to post a picture on Facebook . I bet finals were much better when they just sold tickets 50/50 to the two clubs fans.
well not sure about the League Cup but in my lifetime that has never been the case for the FA Cup where large numbers went to County FA's etc to distribute and directly to Pro clubs throughout the pyramid .
FA final tickets were available for local FA’s to apply for. Had some in the past, would raffle off for funds.
True ... I played in the South Midlands League back in the day and we always got 2 Cup final tickets from the FA every year ... ... best 'finals' in this regard are the play-offs where it really is (or was) 50/50 ... first one I went to was against Blackburn ... we hadn't been to Wembley since the 1969 FA Cup final so sold out within hours of going on general sale ... Blackburn sent about 10k back unsold ... so we had those too ... brilliant day out, Trafalgar Sq was fully occupied ... lost 1-0 to a dodgy pen after David Speedie took a swallow dive ...later signed for us... little ****
Lives round the corner from me does speedie. Managed the local side for a while, sent off a few times, Still an angry little man. Great golfer, always has a few cans in his bag if you are drawn with him.
