Enjoy what? I'm not really arsed about the build up because it counts for nothing if we don't win. It's been a long time but i'm scarred from 98, 99, 2000 semi, 2005 semi. Can we just bloody win for once, but the answer is probably not again.
when you think about it the vast majority of Pope's clean sheets have been down to the defence only on a couple of occasions has Pope had anything to do (when he has had something to do he's been great though- except last Sat) so I can see the defence doing what they do best, keeping Manure at a distance
Karius is a decent reflex 'keeper. If the defence does it's job - and by God the likes of Trippier and Burn need to put some recent nightmares behind them - we should be limiting the chances the opposition gets. Bruno back is far more impactful than losing Pope. Still feel Howe was let down in Jan. We've spent £105m on two players, yet Murphy and Anderson are still getting regular minutes. That's a poor transfer strategy.
Not sure why anyone is worried. Bruno is back. We are a far better side when he plays. Get back to how we were playing before Xmas and we win. Simple.
I'm taking heart from people who still think we can do it, but is that just blind optimism? There's all sorts of things to factor in with the Karius situation, like he won't be used to how we try and pass it out from the keeper etc, if Man Utd have any sense they will close him down, he either ****s up or he boots it long back to them again, i'm almost more worried about that than him not saving shots etc. We are right up against it but there is some hope i suppose.
Yea but putting it into practice in competetive match is rather different. Just got to hope he swims.
