The 1st attempt you underestimate the level of effort required and then you're warned that If you fail to blow sufficiently you'll be arrested.
close of business Tuesday. But we won't. It was a straight red, would just add an extra game ban as a punishment for wasting time. Would be done before Friday anyway.
If only they looked at this with better fwd thinking in the first place. It is what it is we play with a useless goalkeeper in the biggest game in 24 years possibly 70. Hopefully the ball stays out.
No point in having this view mate, we could have played Dubravka on Saturday and Pope could have been injured in training this week
That's true but the manager can't control that based on a decision. The opportunity was there to avoid this scenario and a decision was made to ignore the risk. This scenario was avoidable that is a fact. If he got injured anyway well that's just bad luck ... that is completely different. By the same token Karius could be injured in training and so could gilliespie which will make the decision look worse
Anyway gentlemen its a new day nothing we think matters the damage is done see how things work out. Exciting game coming
That's the response of a person that doesn't understand something .. a poor one. Rather than resort to an emotional response because you don't understand it please feel free to argue the very specific points I made? No secondary lines of debate or whataboutery are required as they'd be invalid. You cannot dispute a fact
You’re wumming. That’s a fact. Pope could easily be injured in training. By your logic that is avoidable by not training. He could be injured at home. By your logic that is avoidable by not going to his home. He could be injured in a RTA. By your logic that is avoidable by him not driving or being a passenger in a car etc. All facts. Howes decision to play Pope was one everybody not wumming would have made. That’s a fact. So your attempt to pretend to suggest Howe made a bad decision in playing him is just plain ridiculous. You’re not that stupid and so it is clear you are just wumming.
I watched the red card back. It's mystifying what Pope is doing. By the time he tries to head it - then grabs it - the ball is actually on the floor. So why the **** is he going with his head? His legs are longer and lower - he just has to whack it. Completely baffling. In terms of whether he should be playing a league match when we;re chasing CL qualification against probably THE main rival for fourth, of course he has to play.
ASM-----------Isak/Wilson------------Almiron ---Joe--------Bruno-------Longstaff------- Burn-------Botman-----Schar-------Trippier -----------------------Karius--------------------------- As good of a line up as we could have hoped for besides pope. Joelinton is going to be needed to help Burn with Rashford though.
Convinced we will go with the tried and tested: Joe---------------Wilson--------------Almiron-- ---Willock--------Bruno-------Longstaff------- Burn-------Botman-----Schar-------Trippier -----------------------Karius------------------------ Isak, ASM from the bench around the hour mark at least gives options. I think Willock/Joelinton had so much understanding, it'll be much more familiar and protect Burn more. Longstaff as well helps Trippier. Isak's just not 100% fit - but look everywhere, new players find the PL hard. Mudryk, Nunez, Antony to name just three who each cost £30m+ more. Isak's very talented, his control, movement is streets ahead of Wilson (light years ahead of Wood), but unfortunately he's barely had any time in the best XI we have. He's either had an unfit ASM, no Bruno, out of form Almiron or hasn't been fit himself. Too quick to judge someone of his age and ability.
Indeed; I'd heard they were expected to be. I'd be happy to see ASM start again, with Isak. They're not going to get fitter or better from the bench. Both had their moments against L'Pool.
We could have gone into the final, in form, all players fit and eligible to play and still lost. Just enjoy it for what it is, a cup final, a day out, a chance at glory.
