RIP Dickie Davies. A huge part of my childhood watching World of Sport, the wrestling just before the football results, cup final days and his banter with Saint and Greavsie.

Ah bloody hell, brings back some great childhood memories.

I'm thinking about sitting next to my Grandad, watching the wrestling, followed by the classified results.....

    R.I.P. Dickie.

Legend. Geoff Stelling in particular owes a lot to him, pioneering that kind of 'live' broadcasting.

Brings back some great memories of my younger days watching Dickie Davis, glued to the TV & watching the vidiprinter as your team came up then, it would pause momentarily before putting your score up.

Absolute top top bloke. RIP DICKIE LAD.

    RiP Dickie.

So many memories of WoS and he was central to it. Loved the horse racing section and on the ball. He anchored that show brilliantly.
