He stopped for their first goal waving his arms around for handball instead of just playing on and trying to put Nunez under pressure…I think he actually contributed to Pope hesitating also. Thought we gave a good account of ourselves with 10 men and it could have been an interesting last 10 mins had Wilson put that effort away. I’m still trying to work out Joelinton doesn’t miss the cup final if he picks up a tenth booking in that game (2 game ban) but Pope does…absolutely mental.
Don't know why anyone is worried. Karius will step up. I'd be more worried about having Callum Wilson starting. He has been dogshit.
Completely agree about Taylor but ****s sake You guys are never am happy Last time you moaned about too much injury time - this time not enough Must be hard to be a ref seriously though Good luck next week Laws of averages indicate Karius has got to have a good cup final in him he had loads of potential but the CL final ****ed his head up bad there is no part of me whatsoever that doesn’t want you boys to win next week good luck in final Been a long time coming ftr I have said Taylor is the worst ref in the league for years Nothing to do with him being biased He is just really bad imho
Howe couldn’t foresee what would happen with Pope. The replacement will be fine. We won’t lose it because of goalkeeper error.
Nearly impossible to completely recover from what was mental first 25 minutes, couldn't believe what I was watching. However to recover our composure to not collapse and even give a good go at Liverpool is highly commendable and is not something we would have seen in previous years. The result is disappointing but the Improvement in mentality from the beginning of last season is clear to see in that performance alone.
I'm beginning to wonder why Wilson is rested/saved and when he does come on he does that, just my opinion mind.
Aye, funny thing is if had won 2 or 3 of those 11 draws yesterday wouldn't have mattered so I'm putting it behind me and putting the good side out
It's all well and good talking about how hard we try and the fact we used to be ****. Doesn't mean you can ignore the poor tactics on display before you. The high press is great, we try super hard and we win the ball back, our passing is great. But we play it out to the wings, far, far too often. We run, run and then stop and turn, we have no support, we try and cross it and no one is even in the box, or we just fluff it. How did we concede yesterday? Two through balls straight through the middle, they sliced us apart. We took too long to change things up, the second half we did and it improved, but we were already 10 men and defeated. Howe needs to sharpen up in key moments
He could have forseen the result of it and I would expect be did and made a decision to risk it because of what was likely and not likely . That decision was not a good one unfortunately.
Anderson wasn't to blame for anything and thanks to Pope and some poor defending his full debut was cancelled Gordon isn't a CM although I think Anderson is better as attacking midfielder on the left though . Gordon max and isak is a 3 I'd like to see some day
Disagree. No reason to drop the Pope. If the Catholic Church doesn’t do it then it’s good enough for me.
