So for me the leadership have failed of late. Our squad is ****ing awful. It was 14 months ago, it still is three windows later. That is Ashley levels of incompetence.

Our overall squad needs a lot of work. Our scouting has constantly let us down. We are not and were not a team who should have been paying £60m for Isak or £40m for Gordon, we needed to get the squad ready because being in a position today where Matt Ritchie and Jacob Murphy are yet again getting game time is not acceptable.

I’d be as ranty under Ashley. Whether it’s naive from the owners, whether Howe is too faithful, in don’t know but people are putting too much faith in **** players and we are not doing enough to strengthen the squad. Howe ****ed us from the start with a terrible tactic and selection - Anderson isn’t even a PL player, never will be. But the whole leadership team are getting it wrong with where we are.

it’s frustrating because we are throwing away a golden chance.

What's absurd is your refusal to acknowledge there was an opportunity to avoid the end result gk wise and your over reaction to a good performance vs one of the best clubs in the world.

What? I can’t understand your post.

We were exactly how we have been for 3 months - and for 10’years+ before that - profligate in front of goal, lacking killer instinct and passes, and very weak with squad depth.

There were moments of quality, fleeting, and the team are playing for the manager but someone has to carry the cab for what’s been a poor recruitment strategy thus far.

Can I recommend you watch newcastle vs Brighton under Steve Bruce and the previous ownership and compare it to the 10 man performance vs yes LIVERPOOL we've just watched tonight please?

You answered a question not asked mate but it's fine i know the answer was yes .
How often has Pope been sent off in his career and how many games has he played in his career?

Would have been slaughtered by everyone for dropping Pope if we had lost due to a blunder by Dubs?

Ever thought hindsight is a great help in making decisions?

Seriously it's like people think Liverpool and suddenly turned into cannon fodder .. they had big players back tonight too btw.

I mean ffs Roland

All these are factors you can draw into makeing a decision...

What im saying is matter of fact .. if he'd picked dubs we wouldn't have this situation.

The answer the question was yes ... this situation was avoidable..... am I in howes ass? No of course not .

We look like bottling a promising season. PIF, Bruno, Botman, didn’t sign up to finish ****ing 8th mate.

There’s no plan b and the Gordon and Isak signings currently just look a bit stupid.

I wouldn't say it is bottling, no one expected us to finish top 4, at the beginning of the season.

We didn't even play that bad even with 10 men tbh.

I would be content with 6-8th place finish this season and look to strengthen the squad in the summer, building on our progress and moving forward.

People moved the goalposts at Xmas for some reason.... now only maintaining the pre Xmas form is good enough for this lot.

Its year ONE of a five to ten year plan...

Jesus Christ It couldn't be going much better

Howe was one step ahead of me afterall
