Welcome to the 21st century, where ignorance is proudly used as a weapon. Good work. My main response really was that when we were competing for things it wasn't against Tottenham as you guys were mid-table fodder and when you were competing for things it wasn't against us as we were relegation fodder. That's been the case in my lifetime and I'm not convinced it's any different historically, we're just not clubs that have ever had any reason to be rivals.
We're not rivals with Spurs in the slightest. Only time they get any sort of media coverage is when they change managers/stadiums or sell someone to a bigger club
Pretty sure they feel the same about us really. In football the main aim is obviously to win things. The secondary aim is to then just do the best you can and ideally improve on what you did the previous season (either in points, or league position, trophy, even playing style or youngers coming through) so you can tell yourself you're progressing. Beyond that the whole idea of "wanting to finish above" only really comes in for me if the team are a rival of any sort, there's not really any of those in the league for us at the moment so I don't really care where anyone else finishes, only where we finish. The relegation battle and who gets the European spots are interesting stories but not ones I'm going to remember past this season, only how my team does.
Let me put you Toon ****s in your place collectively you seem a bit confused This is what the rest have been witnessing You kept in your humble place by Ashley…he knew how to keep you cocky horse punching ****s and your illusions of grandeur in their rightful place. I guess he knew if he gave you an inch, you’d want a yard. His point proven with the takeover You get some money, manage to flirt around the top 4 spots for the first time this century due to transitional periods for the big clubs and now you think you’re big tings. haven’t won a trophy for over half a century yet using words like ‘big’ and ‘club’ in the same sentence. Like Jermaine Jenas said…you ****s live in a goldfish bowl.
You guise must be doing something wrong if everyone is cheering United on in the league cup final considering it’s your first one in over a 100 years
This is dead cute........ Spurs and their 2 league titles in their history crying about how **** Newcastle's history is (who have 4 by the way)
I work on Merseyside so everyone I talk to wants us to win More to the point, my wife insisted on putting the brit awards on last night and it's reminded me that Maya Jama (spelling?) exists. I'm currently distracted and happy.
If they can put their first choice XI out, they have a chance ... much like us in the FA Cup against Chelsea a couple of years ago ...
Toon wont be winning any cup. Eddie Howe looks just the right sort of mould for Newcastle, that nice runner-up guy. Where's Ten Hag, wouldn't be happy with being second best, the difference between winners and losers, and Newcastle have always been the latter. Yeah, yeah, yeah they won a trophy in the 50's! Even more reason to suggest the status quo is not going to change... Get down deeper and down Down down deeper and down Down down deeper and down Get down deeper and down I want all the world to see To see you're laughing, and you're laughing at me I can take it all from you Again again again again Again again again and deeper and down Down down deeper and down Down down deeper and down Down down deeper and down Get down deeper and down
Toon fans arguing with Spurs fans about who is the bigger club is one of the cringiest things ever on the prem board.
