Ivan Toney is absolutely brilliant and newcastle have ended up signing some thin air for 60 million.

Isak just isn't a centre fwd... I hope he's something else because he has been absolutely useless as striker.

What's his position?

Far to early to be writing Isak off.

He has the talent and has shown glimpses of it already. He needs games and time the first like all footballers and the second being a young man in a foreign country.

Not writing him off but he'll never be a lone striker.. he's actually the weakest player I've ever seen

Wide right or left. He's not a cf.

He’s thin air isn’t writing him off?

Hate to see it when you do write someone off.

Not sure you understand..... I'm basically saying he isn't strong enough to play up front in this league on his own.

The ball doesn't stick when Newcastle have to go long .... even vs a **** team

Imagine a good team?

Wilson is a far superior center fwd .

Did howe ever turn around a bad spell at Burnley or Bournemouth or did it just go wrong and continue to get worse ?

I know but it was a question im keen to have answered.... he's got to find a way of changing things.... has he ever demonstrated that anywhere or does he just keep with the same system?
No idea on that, but at least he doesn't cry about the "rules being changed" to disadvantage his team, like Arteta. <laugh><laugh>

No idea on him personally but at the moment it appears there is no plan B

That's the thing I think they're trying to do something and it just doesn't work. I preferred the side that finished last season tbh.

This slow passing at the back isn't for me and they've become very predictable.. it's get it to tripper and cross it in.

Guimareas being missing kills everything and it's his fault for being a dirty bastard... really damaged the clubs opportunity when he did that.

Disgraceful how someone can get to be a professional football player and still be as one footed as Almiron.

In some ways I was wondering (shocking suggestion on the way) if a defeat is what’s required to get a formation reset.
Trouble is that we’re not Chelsea and have a dozen internationals waiting for a chance - we have Murphy, Anderson, Targett and Ritchie waiting in the wings.
The team just doesn’t create as much without Bruno. In 12 months we’ll have more. Eddie is probably doing as well as it’s possible to achieve with our squad depth.
