I'm sorry to hear that bcfcred and I must say some of the things I saw made me stay with 606. It is another potential chat sight and the posters are free to banter amongst themselves as they wish but I prefer the guys on here who keep things nicely moderate. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Stick at it, I had a few like that when I was an only dipping in and out there. But then they change when they see (read) more of you. I’m on there every away game so they tend to come round to people from there.

I’ve always got on with Cideredabroad probably because of our Welsh connection. Got a lot of respect for him.

They seem apprehensive on new people as there is a lot of gasheads that try and get on there like there is reds getting onto gaschat.

There are other sections in OTIB in general chat they speak about music, (which you would like) other sports, and other stuff. Then they have politics in another section, if that gets mentioned on main football chat it gets banished straight to there.
Then they have the transfers section where you get all the rumours from. Some very good people on there that you can see are in the know, and loads that don’t have a clue. You quickly work out the ones who do know, so look out for them.

I know of Jiffie from another life but haven’t seen him for a couple of years.

I’m pretty sure he’s moved from Dorset to North Somerset fairly recently so don’t know whether that has something to do with his lack of interest in the site. I might PM him later to find out how he is.

Turkey Twizzler never came to this site, did he? I honestly can’t remember. If he did it would have been right at its launch and he didn’t stay long.
Twiz had a wicked sense of humour.
I also remember Bah Humbug Mike (the voice of reason) from the original 606 - I did wonder if you were him for a while Inver….?
….and from the dark side there was CAPSLOCKTONY and Arrow-in-his-eye. There was also a ToteEndTony who may have been another incarnation of CAPSLOCKTONY. In fact, there have been various accusations of CJS being one or more of these characters - which he vehemently denies <laugh><laugh>

Perhaps there was only one fan on the Gas board with multiple personas, starting conversations with himself to make it look like there were quite a few of them <laugh>

I’ve been on OTIB for years and I post a couple of comments per week over there.
Their attitude towards my posts don’t upset me per se - I just find it bemusing and strange.
I have noticed that forum often gets feisty. It doesn’t take much for a thread to descend into a slanging match. There’s far too much unreleased testosterone over there!!!!

I know a few on there from real life, a few are old friends from my school days. I don’t post, I’m not a member but I often check it out as a guest and just read the comments.
 
Caldicott Ciderhead is still around. He lives down West Wales now. He’s not on here because our work internet blocks 606.
He’s getting excited as we are having a restructure in work and he’s banking on him going. He told me the other day he’s already booked his cruise in preparation for it <laugh>

I remember him telling me once on a car thread than when he was young he put a v8 into a reliant Robin but it was so unstable he could hardly drive it!!
He had some serious health problems in later life - I don’t know any more details than that - and that was several years ago. He’s not posted since :emoticon-0101-sadsm

He was quite prolific for a while, then all of a sudden stopped, had an opinion about most things and was happy to share it.

I can reliably tell you that a Reliant Robin had serious stability problems In it’s standard form!! If you enjoy driving, taking one out for a spin should be on your bucket list!!!
