Lads SAFC fan here , Was wondering whats the feeling towards Jonesy since signing, I liked him before he left , but I think the majority had had enough of his moody performances. Think you`ll agree unplayable when he is up for it but thats not often enough. Anyhow all the best for the rest of the season
He started very well, scoring in each of our 4 matches in September but since November he has fallen from grace quite considerably. His performances since then have been in general very poor, his lazy attitude on the pitch is annoying a lot of Stoke fans, so much so I booed in our game against you guys when it was Wilkinson that got subbed and not Jones, even though that change arguably won us the game. I cannot speak for every Stoke fan of course but I feel Quinn and Bruce definitely saw us coming when we offered ã8m for Jones. At his best as he showed in September and in the one good game i've seen him have in 3 months, against Everton on New Years Day where he ran his socks off and caused the Everton defence problems all day, scoring a magnificent header, he is a massive handful but he has not often showed it this season. Money not well spent in my opinion. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Spot on Pepper He always seemed to be up for it, if he was up front on his own. Possibly went back over since he crocked his knee playing for Trinidad.
Lazy in my opinion and no way was he worth 8 million. A waste of money if you ask me. For a big guy he goes down way to easy and gets out jumped lots by defenders. Can't hold the ball up and can't pass either!
If he was as good as he is on Football Manager he'd be playing for Barcelona, that's how much potential I think that Kenwyne has. He will never ever put in a shift over 90 minutes though, same as with Fuller, the Jamican and Trinadadian lifestyle is far too laid back and unfortunately this reflects in their performances on the pitch, yes they will create a moment of brilliance but I would rather if Stoke tried to sign consistent performers. What message does it send to the players who work very hard week in week out? People such as Huth. If Jones doesn't put in any sort of shift in my opinion he wouldn't play, I want someone that gives their all for the cause. What a waste of talent!
Most dissapointing player of the season.... ã8 mill way over priced .. on this seasons performances ã2 mill tops ...
He started well, and has scored crucial goals, and it would seem, redflag73, that I'm his only 'fan' on here!! He hasn't scored as many for us recently and does goal-hang, but when he gets the ball its always classy and he's a skillful player with flair.
Was good early doors, has since been lazy and not showing a lot of interest, hoping he will get off his lazy arse and earn his money at the tail of the season.
