Wanted to create a thread for us to share future (realistic) targets that we think we should be going for. I know a few of us watch quite a bit of youth football etc so thought be nice to share some of the exciting players we all watch - hopefully someone will then share with the club lol

I was at Hibs U19 vs Dortmund U19 the other night and there was quite a few talented players on show

Dortmund have a boy called Paris Brunner that we must be monitoring, he's over 6ft rapid and has unreal close control, plays in any of the forward areas.

A young striker we should be monitoring from them is Julian Rijkhoff, I mentioned him on the January transfer feed but the boy has so much talent.

Hibs have 4 youngsters we should be monitoring closely - all apparently having contract issues with them at the minute:
Murray Johnson - GK (unlikely to go for a young GK with the talent we have in that position but I reckon he will be Hibs no1 in the next 2 seasons)

Jacob Blaney - CB - regarded as the replacement for Porteous by my Hibs mates, no nonsense young defender

Ethan Laidlaw - CF/AM - really excited about this boy, good pace and he works so hard, anyone who played the new football manager should be signing this kid

Josh O'Connor - CF - this is the one I would be signing, powerful CF who is rapid, already played for the 1st team. He is the son of Garry O'Conner who played for Hibs and Birmingham - has his dads strength and finishing but is so much quicker than his old man

Not that I watch much footy away from Sunderland and the other matches I can catch on tv but I love the current model of bringing in young exciting players with potential. It’s nice to hear about the conveyor belt of talent that we can tap into from those that know.

I wouldn't be surprised if we were linked with more players from South America in the summer. I think we will see a few more photos of KLD, Harvey and Sartori 'on tour's in the summer building links up. Maybe we will sign a deal or two with some clubs to bring a few players over like Sartori said when he first arrived.
It will be an interesting summer either way, PL clubs will be sniffing around our top lads and we need to have contingency plans ready to go.

Agreed, theyll have someone over the u20 championship thats happening there now. Ive watched a couple games in the tournament, and some class players:

Giay rb that weve been linked with looks very good
Gomez, lcb from Argentina really stood out
Arthur, rb from brazil - rapid n a typical Brazilian fullback

Uruguay are doing really well so hopefully juan can pull in a few favours and sign a couple of their players

Been really impressed with Hume. For a young lad he's got an old head on young shoulders.

Been ****ing brilliant since he got in the side. Strong in the tackle, quality on the ball and he's got great delivery in the final third. Tall lad as well which helps at set pieces. Absolute bargain.

Sorry if I sound a bit naive but do you send any of this info to the club. Exciting times ahead.

Not sure about those lads he has mentioned in that post but he has said previously that he has sent reports into the club but got nowt back, which is a bit of a shame tbh.

I chat now and again with a Dutch Agent, he reckons it is very difficult to get Sunderland even to listen to him.

I don’t know when but I reckon we will get Jordan Henderson for his final few years.

Is that normal for most clubs or unique to us? I'd have thought we should, at least acknowledge their efforts and say 'thank you we will take a look' or something like that. Just blanking them is a bit crap (as long as they are submitting proper, professional assessments and it's not daft fans saying we should be buying Haaland <laugh>)

They get loads of unsolicited suggestions from all over.
They will have some agents they trust and have done business with them before. Although with the reputation of football agents, at least barge pole length at a minimum.

A bit as if you reckon you have written as your first novel a best seller, Nobel Prize winner. You hawk it round all the publishers and get rejected sometimes not even an acknowledgement.

I think I spotted some fluff on his chin so at least it's a **** beard attempt not intentionally growing just a tache.

Fair play to him he's been great. Doesn't seem to have any weaknesses and has lots of strengths. He plays the intricate stuff with Roberts and Amad no problem at all, it's usually one of them that cocks it up before he does.

Joris Chotard and Arnaud Nordin. Both play for Montpellier.

Chortard is a DM and only 21. Tough tackling. Ready made replacement for Evans and an upgrade on Michut in that specific role.

Nordin. Right forward for who we can bring in to replace Amad when he goes back to Utd. Fast and skilful, bagged a goal against PSG not long ago.

Theres some great talent in france at the minute so pleased we are looking in that market.

Lihadji is a really exciting prospect and if he gets close to his potential with us we have a top player.

Ive seen that nordin play before - think he was at st etienne last season - and i liked him. Not seen the other lad tho so def keep an eye out for him.

    Thanks for sharing
