He'll not be........he'll know what's coming. Without a doubt a court case is going to be brought forward involving restriction of trade..... PL will drop their arses, petrified their dirty laundry gets aired when due diligence is conducted.
They have been involved in a cartel involving themselves in matters that restrict opportunities for clubs not in their merry little band demanding takeovers aren't allowed, demanding extra money, ESL, Project big picture etc etc etc. As for FFP breaches cheating I would suggest not. As for Cartel behaviour as in only involving 5 other clubs in communcations regarding how the league rules should be set and how the rich clubs can get richer at the expense of the other 86 clubs then absofuckinglutely
Is this because the PL stopped a takeover by PIF at Newcastle? Oh, hold on they didn’t, just needed reassurance that the head chopper general wasn’t involved.
Just think back to how our takeover went through hours after an initial CAT hearing - That was because it was starting a spell of due diligence which allowed Newcastle's lawyers to rake through all their communications. All the club needed to do was prove Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea had communicated with the PL and each other and it was a home run......They already had these due to BeIN Sport admitting as much.
Kind of yeah......It involves it a bit but it's much much much deeper. European Super league - small group of clubs communicated between themselves to dictate the future of the game without others - Cartel behaviour. Project Big Picture - same again communicating between themselves regarding competitors money and how things should be priced - Cartel Behaviour. Sponsorship no longer allowed by related parties communications - Cartel behaviour. Stopping a takeover between 6 clubs - Cartel behaviour. For what its worth there is no rule saying a state can't own a football club.
Juventus were stripped of their titles when caught cheating. If the same happens again Liverpool storm past Man Utds 20 league titles... ... AND SUNDERLAND WILL HAVE WON THE LEAGUE CUP IN 2014
I tell you what this reminds me of, something my club new American owner said, which was that football here was unique, because in America, there is no pyramid system - so as you say Cartel behaviour where the top clubs retain all the money. So far even though money has created a gap between the haves and have nots, we still have the pyramid system and until we bring in transfer and wage caps, football will never play fair. My own club has had to sell to survive, our previous owner could no longer compete, hence why we were heading to the National League and gradually out of business. In January we started buying up lower league players for 'undisclosed fees' we were helping players at other clubs, trigger contract clauses, football shouldn't have to be like this ffs, but it's what the tv money at the top of the tree has created, so much so NL clubs like Wrexham have Hollywood owners. Sadly like all the fans before me, I accept we have to play financially to survive and a few million is not enough anymore in todays game, even for the pub teams.
