Thing is Milky/Emu it’s not just the fans that have lost confidence, it’s the media and most pundits. The common theme with them is “stop talking and start doing” Marsch now has everything he wanted and needs to get on with it. Losing tomoz and then twice to Man Utd puts him in jeopardy but think he will have Southampton and Everton to redeem himself

To be fair Doc, I think @milkyboy and I have both stated that after his backing this window that Marsch has to take full responsibility from now on.

Personally I still believe we are a centre half and a left back short if the quality required.

I'm talking about last summer bud. When we lost to Fulham at home we had spent nothing in the window.

Chelsea have spent over 400 million in the last couple of weeks and still couldn't beat Fulham at home which we find amusing. It wasn't amusing when our team couldn't.

There's no consistency.

By the way, a fit Phillips is still our best player and by some distance.
Not convinced Phillips would displace Adams in this team mate, open for debate but I can't see it myself

Alongside Adams maybe but then we have a lot of talent to squeeze into the remaining places

It's his mouth that gets him into trouble.

He should have copied Bielsa and hired an interpreter, one who can translate American bullshit into plain English

Said it a few times on the CB front, not sure what the plan is and even more confused now? Think Cooper is cooked now and always injured. Koch is ok and Wober is really cover for Cooper. No LB still and don’t like Struijk at LB. Cresswell Hjelde to sort out in the summer

It's hypothetical I know but I think Phillips holding and Adams and McKennie acting almost like pistons in a box to box fashion would be unbelievably strong. Phillips has a bit more about him defensively than Roca and would sit a bit deeper and make that back 2 a back 3 giving us more stability when the full backs push forward.

Even the thought of that midfield 3 gets me more excited than Wakey at grab a granny night in Flares.

Marsch needs his defenders to be aggressive. They have to challenge and win the ball. Wober looks good because he is aggressive. Cooper might lack the ability but he is an aggressive defender. Kristensen is aggressive too and is improving.

The others, Struijk, Koch, Ayling, Firpo are more passive and it gets us in trouble. Koch has progressed this year and has started to be more physical and I think that's why Jesse sticks with him.

With a fully fit squad I reckon Marsch will go with...

Kristensen, Koch, Cooper, Wober

The most aggressive defender we have on the books is Cresswell and I will be shocked if we sell him permanently as he look tailor made for Marsch. Hjelde too is a "go get him" defender.

It will be interesting to see how the defence is sorted in the summer if we stay up and if Marsch remains at the club. I don't see Struijk at the club next season.

I’m actually looking forward to Forest I have a feeling we will turn it on and Georginio, McKennie, Sinisterra will prove decisive……… I hope

I'm looking forward to it too. Forest are decent at home. They really go for it. Hopefully we can put a decent performance in. I'd love to win, a draw is acceptable and a loss would be tough to take.

Sean Dyche showing the Everton board and fans that Lampard should never have been employed. Everton should be 2 up against Arsenal. Worrying for us because they never spent anything. Early days but signs of vast improvement for the toffees

Saka should score for Arsenal too though Doc.

Dyche has got them fighting I'll give him that. Arsenal will score 2nd half.

In the last three seasons, our net spend is greater than Liverpool and Man City. The best two players doesn’t wash, would either get back in our team now?

Look at Gnonto, if Rutter is a £30m player then Gnonto is a £50m starting price. Price tag means little.

You, Emu and Eire keep throwing in Net spends and best two players, Phillips was poor under Jesse he doesn’t fit the system, Raphinha was atrocious the middle of his final season. We sold two players this season, we’ve brought in 10. Half the fans on here couldn’t wait to see the back of KP so best player is highly debatable. Best under Bielsa but without him he’s not even been average

Our squad including subs bench is miles ahead of what it was last season, Raphinha and Phillips wanted out, what was we meant to do, I don’t get the failure to credit the board with backing the coach.

At present, we’re no better off than last season, difference is last season we were absolutely smashed with injuries and a small squad. Jesse needs to get this team firing and if we lose to Forest he needs to walk as he’s getting no points from Man U
Except our win record without KP was poor under both coaches and that hasn’t changed this season.

Its only like Everton thinking they were too good so sacked Silva who took them to 7th he’s now taken relegation favs Fulham to top 6.

Everton very good value for their win against League leaders Arsenal.

7/1 at KO and then 5/1 at HT as punters lumped on after witnessing their improvement.

Rock solid at the back, plenty of threat going forwards, hard working and well organised.
