Something like that. FFP changing to a 5 year cap on amortisation which will limit this sort of stuff going forward, but while the rules are the way they are may as well use them.

Yeah, they've been signing young players on stupid long contracts so they can pay exaggerated fees over 8-10 years or so, and ammortise them over the full length of the contract.

I think we're assuming there'll be wholesale changes based on 4 player coming in.

There may well be changes but they'll be more gradual than immediate I reckon.

Some will struggle some will excel and that's just the way of it whether you're Alex, arsene, Jose, Sillva, Adkins, Shota or Liam.

Never has there bee a 100% successful transfer policy under any owner or manager, but I'm more than content with the business we've done and the direction the recruitment seems to be going in - as in we seem to have one which we didn't seem to have in summer.

I think it's a safe bet that Malcolm's introduction will be instant. Rosie knows him and has been desperate to sign him. I think Darlow will be pretty quick too

We're busting a gut to get Simons through and he hasn't started a league game. I always thought Bruce, despite his limitations always kept the lad who'd done well in the last game in the shirt.

He's never really been a master tactician but a good man manager when he's assemble his own team.

Which is why I'm sceptical that the kid from marseilles has 'just flown in'.
Posted 2 hours ago that he has signed. That was before Baz's breaking news that he'd flown in.

I happy with Connolly coming in.
I'm not happy with Fleming going out.

The rest? Meh!
Absolutely he's 23 now and we've not seen much from him apart from under Shota.

Playing with Greaves as an inside left, keane in front all 3 who he's played with since he was 9 or summat.

He needs to prove himself and establish a level in his own right. And he'll be back in June.
