It rolls over after the group stages now. So IIRC if you played qualifiers then moved you couldn’t play group stages, but if you move in January you’re fine for knockouts.

That’s not true. The release clause required cash up front. Paying in instalments always requires more money in the long run but is cheaper in practice. The equivalent is about Euro 50m so we are only worse off if Edwards gets sold quickly for 25m or more.

The alternative is playing them, which he also won't do.
It's stockpiling youth, but we don't seem to have any plan for them, so they stagnate.
There's no passageway into the first team, so what's the point?

It’s always a mistake to sign the players the manager wants unless he knows them well because he has managed them before

Edwards will comfortably go for over £30m.

We’ve been bent over, no two ways about it.

Yeah as I said it’s just so warped.

We’re doing to them what we done to KWP. I just don’t understand it to be honest.

It sounds like we used an intermediary because Paratici is ****ed.
They messed it up and Levy had to go in personally and get it done with little time left.
The whole thing's quite a clusterfuck and it makes you wonder what's going on with the Juve fallout.

Worth noting that even when up front release clauses are paid, most clubs will finance that somehow because most clubs don’t have 40m in cash lying about.
