Mowbray mentions he’s going to be a long term signing and he needs to develop physically so don’t think we’ll see loads of him this season, does look on the skinny side for a centre half mind
I think almost all of our signings under KLD regime have been undisclosed. They don't give much away. Properly run club!
Agreed. We could tell the world how rich we are… Not like that adds £15m to a player’s selling fee is it?
Did we get any definitive news on Stewarts injury? I’d imagine the length of time he is out will play a major role today
As the massive lads fan William Shakespeare once famously said: “To sign Simms, or not to sign Simms. That is the question.”
Scan won’t be till today or tomorrow I reckon. We’ll get official confirmation from Mowbray in his pre-match conference.
@SkySports_Keith EXCL: Ross Stewart will be out until the end of the season, following a scan on his Achilles. HOWEVER, the injury isn’t as bad as first feared. Only a 30% partial tear — not a full rupture as first thought. The Sunderland striker will be back for full pre-season training #SAFC Stewart is very positive with the diagnosis. Initial fears were he could be out for 18 months. Instead it’s only 4 months on the sidelines for the 26-year-old. Stewart will have operation in London this week, and begin rehab in a fortnight #SAFC
The mags in the replies are weird however it just proves that some of the people on RTG give our support a bad name. Wishing injuries on players is bizarre
I can never get behind hoping we lose to be honest. I'd rather we go up and see how we get on. We could/should have beaten Fulham at the weekend and they're top half Prem right now. Also bearing in mind how young our squad is and how quickly they appear to be learning, we might be plenty good enough to hold our own by next year. Also, if we don't get go up it massively increases the risk of Neil / Michut / Ballard etc. getting poached by a Prem team.
Lock him in a room with a pen and contract while he can’t run off! probably as good news as we could have hoped for
