It's a no from me. I know he's only 21, but he's only notched 2 in 16 for Boro, and wasn't exactly prolific for Fulham in the Championship last year either, despite them winning the league.
People keep saying things like out of our budget etc, but how does anyone know what our budget is? We're in desperate need of a striker or two, maybe KLD will come up with the funds needed on this occasion.
I think its more about the wages, players like Nakamba will be on 40k a week at minimum, so unless Villa are willing to pay more than half his wages its a no go for us

I think it's a realistic option though to have as back-up for Gelhardt (and - fingers crossed - Simms). He's the right age, already close to the area and has experience at this level. My logic is that an out-and-out goalscorer isn't going to want to come to warm our bench.

He might get a game from the bench but thats about it. We have much better players at our disposal.. The Fulham midfield is a different matter.

IF we get Simms back too, then that would fit the profile - although mildly concerning all 3 strikers are loans (unless we get Simms on a permanent deal)
As a back-up player, that's all I'd expect but we need cover; we have one fit striker available, so not much at our disposal currently.
2 goals in 14 appearances in the Premier League 2 is canny ****e like, not gonna lie. Think we've got better in our U21's, unless this is actually a permanent transfer for our development squad. Can't imagine this one being for the first team.

Stewart scoring 2 in 19 in the spl was ****e but that hasn’t mattered. Altidore scored a truck load in Dutch football yet couldn’t score for us, Danny Graham scored elsewhere yet looked useless for us. Scoring records for other teams mean absolutely nothing and its doing my head in having to explain this every transfer window now.
Stop 'explaining it' then mate. Fact is, we need a proven goalscorer to come in and replace Stewart. Signing a 20 year old on loan from Arsenal who struggles to score in their U21 team isn't it.
Proven goal scorers don't necessarily work either mate. Grigg for example.
