I probably missed it but where does it say that she’s not a “homeless Brit” ? Does the report you posted specifically say she is a refugee ?
Give it a listen mate….I think it will be right up your street. You’ve pretty much summed up the podcast from a personal perspective. Interesting to hear that the hero Zelensky, took time out to wish Aliyev a very happy birthday…..all good guys
Realpolitiks. What makes me sad is I can understand logically why the civil servants at the FCO brief every Foreign Sec we've ever had not to wade into the Armenia/Azerbaijan/Turkey conflict, which of course tacitly endorses the historic Turkish position. Even though it's a moral wrong.
It's clear from her thick accent and slightly awkward use of English that she was not born and educated here. Compare this attitude of ingratitude and entitlement with Jewish refugees fleeing Germany in the 1930's, who expected nothing but a chance to work and provide for their family.
It's all about the oil/gas, same as it always has been and always will be. If the EU/US/UK can get an alternative source of cheap fuel away from Russia, and the cost is turning a blind eye to the occasional genocide, then everyone's happy...it's the way these governments think anyway
Have you heard the youth of today Goldy? You would think my 21 year old nephew was Jamaican if you heard him speak
I've lived in worse conditions than that, albeit without kids....I even lived in a shipping container with another guy for about two years....
She was obviously sold the pup promising home and everything paid for by whoever facilitated her arrival here, she'll find reality a bitch but there are lots of people in the same boat so to speak...
I know kids put on affected accents, Bob, but you can generally tell by accent and use of English. She says "We are not furnitures". Your nephew would say, "We is not furniture." !
Ah so you have to talk like us to be from here….you’re digging a hole mate and your unconscious bias is there to see. I’m assuming you agree that there is no mention if her immigration status in the repoet
SNP been taking lessons on U-Turns from the Tories.... Isla Bryson case: Movement of violent transgender prisoners paused Published 36 minutes ago Share please log in to view this image There will be a "pause" on transgender prisoners with a history of violence against women being placed in female jails in Scotland, Justice Secretary Keith Brown has announced. He said an "urgent review" into the case of a trans woman convicted of raping two women before changing gender will also be carried out. There was a public outcry when Isla Bryson was initially remanded to Cornton Vale women's prison. She was later moved to a men's jail. Further concerns were raised by the case of Tiffany Scott, previously known as a man called Andrew Burns, who had an application to move to a women's prison approved. She has a history of violence and is serving an order for lifelong restriction, meaning she will only be released when she is no longer considered an "unmanageable risk to public safety". Critics argued vulnerable women prisoners, many of whom were victims of male violence, were being placed at risk. Justice Secretary Keith Brown said the "urgent lessons learned review" into the Bryson case would be completed by Friday. The prison service was already undertaking a wider review of its transgender policy, which will continue. Until that ends, Mr Brown said: No transgender person already in custody with a history of violence against women will be moved from the male to female estate No newly convicted or remanded transgender prisoner with any history of violence against women (including sexual offences) will be placed in the female estate. Any exceptional cases will require the approval of Scottish ministers, he said. "I understand that the issue of any trans woman being convicted of violent and sexual offences is a highly emotive subject and that the public concern is understandable," Mr Brown said. "As the first minister pointed out last week, we must not allow any suggestion to take root that trans women pose an inherent threat to women. "Predatory men are the risk to women. However, as with any group in society, a small number of trans women will offend and be sent to prison. "Therefore, I hope that the measures.... will offer reassurance in the ongoing ability of the prison service to manage trans individuals and ensure the safety of all prisoners." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-64444530
Thousands of Americans live in trailer parks. This moaning Minnie and her children have got a roof over their heads and a functioning, furnished home. As I said, in France, it would be a tent.
What’s France got to do with it ? Or are you yet again assuming that ‘cos she isn’t white and doesn’t talk “like us”, then she can’t be British and has come over from France ? It’s almost like your racism is truly showing it’s ugly side now…..
