Completely agree. Terrible writing from a so called sports journalist.

Must confess that I haven't seen a lot of Sohna. Anyone watch the under 23's on a regular basis that can give us a better description than this waffler?

That reads like a generic “insert footballer name here” article.

Sometimes plays at full back for them. He is tidy on the ball and plays it simple. I wouldn't have him as a 'combatitive/hardman' type of role though. He will get it off the back 4 and start play.

Hope I’m wrong, but anyone think we might be bringing the Everton lad in so that O’Nien moves into midfield to replace Evans? Rather than signing another CM.

Guess I’m just surprised that the Everton lad is coming in when he has Ballard, Batth, O’Nien, and Alese ahead of him. Alese would likely play CB when Cirkin is back fit.

Think he is more a replacement for Wright. O'Nien wont be used in CM IMO, he isnt good enough on the ball for how we ball now

This would be a very ambitious signing

I reckon KLD will step in with some decent cash for a striker given what happened yesterday.

Maybe there is a hidden talent in our U21's that might be developed into a striker, but I cant see one atm, maybe we need to find another SKP from somewhere , I'm sure our recruitment team will be looking at all options but we don't have a lot of time left to find cover. Should have made some provision before now imo. it was obvious from last season that Dajaku was never the answer.

Would it be anymore ambitious than a Cirkin or a Clarke?

Lad hasn't had a sniff at Chelsea.

I watched a fair bit of him last season because I was told he was a good un by a coach I know. He is a Dan Neil type IMO. Receives on the half turn, can take it in tight spaces, nice passer. I think he will progress but wouldnt see him making an impact this season. The fact Rigg has been involved tells you Sohna is probably not in the frame yet.

I've watched Sohna a few times and I dont think he is good enough for us. Think he needs to go out on loan so we can see what he is like playing week in week out at senior level

Rumour doing the rounds that Simms was driving the car that has brought the defender up from Everton.

Could be bollocks, but thought I would share

Footy Insider just linked Everton to Che Adam’s, I for one personally think they should throw loads of money at them, no reason why really, nothing to do with that freeing up simms or out..

Of the mid field I prefer Kelly not that I have seen a lot of either but Kelly would get my vote and he scores classy goals.

I think we need to get out of the habit of assuming that a player is signed for the current gap in our squad. Our recruitment team is far more thoughtful and well organised than that. At least one of Ballard, Alese or Cirkin will have a Premier League club come in for them in the summer and having the man in the squad already here to fill the gap is smart recruitment.

And this is where our fans need to be prepared. Its great seeing these hungry young players strutting their stuff in Red and White stripes, but the better the do, the likelihood of them leaving for another club increases, and probably soon.... we need to trust our recruitment team to deliver next one...its a conveyor belt process
