I have the polar opposite views to the caller, but boy was this handled incorrectly, I agree with the original post. I have spoken to these people ( both politically and also about covid) , and they are "not for turning ". Let them rant, hopefully show their views up to be rubbish...then thank them and walk away
Yes, that's the right way of dealing with it. Let someone speak, and if the views expressed don't stack up, they effectively hang themselves. The classic example of this was when the BBC invited Nick Griffin of the National Front onto Question Time. I've never heard from him again.

Have a look at the state of France or Germany. In disarray, because of a worldwide pandemic and an energy crisis caused by a war in Europe. Sure, Brexit was hit by the tidal wave of Covid, but even Starmer can see there's traction out of a corrupt EU once the worldwide economic crisis is over and better times arrive.
What nonsense. Brexit has had and will have a bigger negative impact on the UK economy than Covid. The government's own figures show GDP reduced by 4% as a result of Brexit and a further 2% by Covid.
The Brexit benefits are always just around the corner and the Brexit costs are always forgotten. Maybe worry about the corruption in your Party presiding over a country falling apart.

Brexit was hit by Covid. The Government had no time for anything else. It was also hit by intentionally punitive measures by the EU, who made it their business to see it fail. If Brexit potential is so damning why is Labour supporting it?
