This is absolute nonsense.
Every fanbase has this opinion, as they don't pay attention to other clubs' deals.

When we nicked Danjuma the other day I browsed the Grand Old Team forum.
What were Evertonians saying? Why can't we do quick deals like Tottenham do?
Every club has quick deals and ones that drag out, even the massive overspending ones.
Aw, we can`t have any criticism of Levy now can we.

I haven’t fact checked it but I think it’s correct as we were talking about numbers in the summer after signings back then but Danjuma’s - and Porro’s? - arrivals means some need to be cut from the CL squad to make space, ideally those cuts come from selling players.

It’s likely going to be Gil, it should be Lucas but it could be both providing we don’t mess up the Porro deal. It could also be Emerson or Sanchez if we get any late offers, especially if as Ally Gold mentioned the other day that we may seek to make late signings if opportunities arise and bring forward summer recruitment plans.

There was a rumour the other day about Inter wanting to sell Skriniar for €20m to avoid losing him for free in the summer, IF true, that’s something we could (and should) be all over.

A Sevilla based news account reckon we prefer to sell Gil rather than loan him out this window.

No idea how credible they are though but similar to the recent Spence story, it’s something you can half believe based on the treatment of young players so far.
Romano saying Gil is Sevilla’s number one priority, so looks like the story has substance.

One or two more jumping on this story.

Apparently Sampioli considers him a priority signing and tried getting him when in charge of Marseille.

We want a loan with obligation, Sevilla asking for just a loan (maybe with an option).

I can see this being a goer on deadline day, similar could be said for Spence after the Brentford rumours (albeit from weak sources).

Tottenham Hotspur - graveyard for young talent. Get out while you can .

It's ridiculous and an ongoing problem for some time now.
This was something that I thought hiring a DoF would help to sort out.
It doesn't appear that Paratici has been doing that job, though. He's more of a chief scout.
Well, he was, anyway...

I'm not even sure what Paratici can really do to be honest.

He's brought in a few very promising young players but the manager has no interest in utilising them, also makes it even worse by publicly telling everyone in the media that "they're not ready" and then also blocks loan moves for them as well as he doesn't want to be left short even if he's got multiple senior players ahead of them... it's as if he's deliberately sabotaging their careers.

It's been a problem as long back as Pochettino, though.
This is why I'm fine with us bringing in a few older players to fill gaps and loaning youngsters out.
We shouldn't be looking to sell Gil and Spence. They should be playing and developing.
If that's not going to be with our current team, then English loans would be perfect.

I'd be pretty happy with loaning Spence to Sporting as part of the Porro deal.
Gil temporarily returning to Sevilla would be fine, too.
We've no idea how long Conte's going to be here. We should plan for a future without him.

Couple reports saying we’re monitoring Montpellier striker, Elye Wahi.

Pointless signing, he’s under 23 so won’t get a minute of game time here at the moment.
A quick look at his Wikipedia page gives a couple of very good reasons to look elsewhere

We may as well sign Andrew Tate and Wayne Couzens...

Ripped it up in the 2022 U21 Euros and we were linked with him for a while.
Also, he totally Lennoned the signing picture. I'm sure he'll do well in Austria/Germany/Manchester.

Why does that photo look like some 1970s public information film?

No doubt warning people of the dangers inherent with telescopic urinals
